Yeah, she’s pretty awful. Has the natural flair of my worst farts. Tries too hard to add enthusiasm in her voice.

I thought he already tied them, and tonight failed to surpass them.

Oh, I misunderstood then. Too bad. I don't think he belongs in their company.

Don’t disagree but until Stevens gets a real point guard Smart is the starter

Pritchard, could make a good argument to Start.
The Kid can actually score, too.

he can score. and the offense has looked pretty bad a lot this season.

our turnovers have been pretty bad a lot of the time this season and he's done a pretty good job of taking care of the ball.

i'm coming around to the idea of giving him more mins for sure.

He's the one playing these Wacky-as-F*** Rotations.

Ime is not the only reason we are losing but damn he is by far the biggest. why people can't see that is way beyond me.

Its his job to change them correct?
Thats why he was specifically hired.
Relate to players and change tendencies.
He isnt doing that.
He's not a psychologist, a group therapist, etc. This is almost two years of dysfunctional basketball, to expect a rookie coach to fix the broken personality of the team after 4 months, when Brad couldn't do it is silly.

Look. Im not saying Ime is good. I've questioned him plenty. Im just saying that the issue is on the players more than the coach.

He isnt any of those things.

But he can do more to prevent the bad stuffs.
Like tonight, bench your stars and make them watch. Play nothing but young guys.

Guy goes iso, call timeout and ream him and pull hjm out the game. He controls who plays.

Also, put them in a position to succeed. Call some plays that get some easy shots, change rotations to give some spacing.

DO SOMETHING that isnt chewing gun with your mask on your chin.
Tatum is a PF Horford is a C
Young guys Need time
Smart and Schroder= dumb
Isolation plays are NOT A VIABLE OFFENSE
Stop running your stars into the ground.

Who gives the players the green light to play that way, though? Isn't the onus on the coach to get rid of those bad habits of his players?
The players!

Then what is the role of a basketball coach to his team, if I may ask?

Stevens also played way more players. Kept this team in the running.

AND . . . This team went to the ECF 3 times with the old coach.
And since they continued to collapse game after game in the ECF against the Heat, something that didn't exist until then, they've stopped buying into ANY system.

This team was clearly different after that loss. I don't care that Brad lead a team with a better roster to the ECF. He was outcoached and lost to a less talented team than the heat, and since then, the team simply refused to be coached, demonstrated bad habits after bad habits, and played terrible ball in the 4th.

This is on the players.

Ummm. Yeah.

After Ime Udoka gets us to the ECF 3 times in 4 years, then talk.

I don't think so. Brad is clearly a better coach. But The fact of the matter is that the 4th quarter collapses became a consistent issue after that series. The lack of discipline amongst the young core became an issue after that series. Brad was tuned out after that series. Brad burnt out and left his coaching role. This is criticism against the players. Not Brad.

Ime isn't great, but the player's bad habits, habits they've had since before Ime showed up is simply a bigger issue than the coaching, and it's an issue that's beyond coaching, and an issue that won't be fixed until we get some serious roster changes.

Pritchard is not a starting PG. He's a fine backup, but he's massively over stretched as a starter.

You got a good point.
But, out of the PG's currently on this team. He's our Best Option.

No coach is going to get these guys to play right. To not iso. To buy in. To move the ball. Etc.

Schroder is good at driving and kicking it out. Pritchard is a good shooter. They complement each other well.

Zone seems to make more sense with those 2 on the floor than man to man.

I swear, you guys just try so hard to reach and force it - you have to somehow someway make everything into a reason to trash the coach, lol

That defensive scheme wont work against the Sixers average shooters and is why everyone looks like all stars against us. Schroder and Pritchard are both below average defenders and while Williams can sort of protect the paint, he’s out matched by Embiid. Doc knows how to beat that all day.

I get it, Smart was out but Richardson or Langford should have been the off guard next just one of Pritchard and Schroder.

Ime is just not a good head coach. He’s the definition of an assistant and isnt strategic at all. This team should AT least be 5 games above 500. These teams that are losing to aren’t THAT good…

1) You say sixers have average shooters. isn't that a reason why zone defense WOULD be a good idea?
2) Schroder is an average defender. I wouldn't say he's below average defensively.
3) I don't think Udoka has much confidence in Pritchard ability to handle the ball vs pressure defense and initiate the offense. That's why typically when Pritchard is out there, the other guard is either Schroder or Smart. It's not necessarily a Udoka thing, either. Ladt season Pritchard was often out there with Kemba or Smart. And if Pritchard does run the point, he often times looks to pass it to to like tatum or someone else as soon as he gets it across half court, rather than looking to actually attack, run PnR or something
