Evidently the prank wasn't very convincing, because it was too out of character for Grant.

No doubt JT and JB can win together.
The question is will it be only Banner 18 or they can go all the way to Banner 20?

The assumption Brown and Tatum have to be best friends because they are close in age — 16 months apart — and they are both successful professional basketball players for the same franchise is wildly unfair. But both freely and proudly acknowledge a healthy respect and love for each other as teammates and as friends.
The moments of togetherness off the court don’t occur often, but they do occur.
“I just think respect. We’ve said that before. I think it’s built off respect,” Brown said about his bond with Tatum. “We both have a crazy work ethic. We both admire some of the same figures, especially in sports. We both have an affinity of wanting to be great. So I think that’s where respect comes from in different forms. On the court, off the court. It’s a respect for sure.”
“We need each other,” Tatum said. “We can have enough individual success, making all-NBA and All-Stars and getting contracts, but ultimately we know what is going to matter: if we can hang a championship banner. It’s a long season, playoffs is long, and we understand I won’t be able to win a championship without him and he won’t be able to do it without me. Knowing we have to get the best out of each other, pushing each other, and be able to excel individually together. We have to be the best version of ourselves together, for us and for the team, and everybody understands that.”
“I can’t even put it into words what [winning a championship] would be like. We are due. Four conference finals together, getting to the championship, coming up short, learning from that. We know what it feels like to lose. We do. We put in the work and we truly believe that we’re going to figure it out and it’s going to be well worth it when we do.”
