Langford had a groin and a hamstring injury which is why he didn't play much in San Antonio. Hopefully he'll be able to stay healthy next year.

He’s never shown the ability to stay healthy. Dude is fragile & wont make it in the league despite being talented enough to be a top 7 rotation guy

I think that our 2nd Unit is solid. I'd run it back with these Guys.
Nesmith, is the one who is most in need of another year.

The other 4 x 2nd Unit players, are All 6th-Men types (at varying levels).

Starters: Smart - - - Brown - Tatum - Horford - R. Williams
Rotation: Pritchard - White - Nesmith - Grant - Theis

2020 NBA Draft Class Career Minutes Played in the Finals
Payton Pritchard - 44
Aaron Nesmith - 14
Jordan Nwora, Sam Merrill - 1

Coming out of college, I don't think anybody had Pritchard as the first guy from his class playing rotation minutes in the Finals.

Congrats to Pritch he's been a valuable guy so far. He's got some limitations but he's got a lot of under rated aspects to his game as well.

I think his energy and having fresh legs should be big on Friday.

What's the expectation for Grant Williams moving forward? He's still pretty young at 23, but the way he disappeared after Milwaukee game 7 makes me want to see what we can get for him in trades. Do y'all think he has a chance to get significantly better?

Yes. Grant Williams Definitely can get better. Got to keep that weight down, though.

Nesmith, White, as well as, Pritchard, & G. Williams can all do better.
I also wonder if Theis can learn new Tricks, being age 30?

I like all these guys, but White, Pritchard and G. Williams turned out to be the only ones that were really playable in the playoffs. The big hole is a playable wing. I’d love Nesmith to grow into that guy and I think he can….but I think we really need to add a capable bench wing this off-season

Pritchard is limited and a liability in an intense playoff. He gets hunted a lot and exposed on defense.
It is a matter of matchup of course, but against Miami and GS he was exposed.

We will need to upgrade our PG

He's our 3rd PG. He also can shoot a pretty good 3. And was 100% Perfect from the FT Line, Regular Season.
I think that we keep him. He has room to improve.

White is not a PG.
I didn't say we move away from Pritchard. He is good for the regular season. He didn't handle the ECF and Finals good enough.
Pritchard is also not a pass first PG.

We need an upgrade there

Fair Enough.

You think that we need to move someone else in front of him, on the Depth Chart?
I'm thinking that he will Improve, and make such a move unnecessary.

Smart, White and Pritchard are all not the Ideal PG.
Tweaking this may not be the best thing? -- We could end up with worse.

Sure we can end up worse.
But... add Rubio or Dragic and you are set (maybe I am just dreaming but this could happen).

If you are a smallish player you should at least have one exceptional trait to negate the defense limitations.
IT4 was a great creating and making shots.
Kerr was an outstanding shooter - standing at the right spot, getting the ball and shooting.
Pritchard could be Kerr. He is a great shooter. He shouldn't handle the ball so much

For the most part, this is what we have to work with next year.

Drsgic or Tucker would be a good grab. Hell, I even think griffin would be a good add.

I think tatum improves, but expecting everyone on the bench to improve is rough. Nesmith needs to take like 1000 3s a day until the season starts.

How about a prime rondo to be the pnr ball handler with JT? Just a little "Christmas comes early" wish?

Ime needs to do a better job next year committing to PT for bench players. They won’t develop if they don’t get PT

The bench needs to play more next year and Tatum and Brown need to play a little less after the mileage they logged next year, Hopefully with consistent Minutes Nesmith can step up, I am curious who we use the midlevel on. Not really sure who is out there.

Opening the season better than the last one will help.
I think Ime was under pressure to perform after the horrendous start of the season.

Now that he has set himself as a very good coach, he can maybe get the bench to play more.
