Yes! You get as high a seed as you possibly can, because:

-the higher your seed, the more series' you get home court advantage
-you face lower seeded teams which typically means you're facing weaker opponents
-increased odds of getting home court advantage when we get to the NBA finals

(someone in the gb game thread last night said it looked like Jaylen left the game after suffering a sudden existential crisis lmao)

Edit: Looks like JB, Grant (and Smart) are all fine. None are on the injury report.

Does anyone still call KP a unicorn? Porzingis has been playing well since the trade, they have Ish Smith, and we all know Kuzma is 100x better than Tatum. So Cs need to bring their A-game here to keep it close.

EDIT: Kuzma OUT. Tatum would now be the best player in the game if he plays.

No concussion for JB as speculated above.

Sixers blew out the Hornets this afternoon & are 1/2 game behind us.

Nets v Hawks tonight
Heat v Bulls tonight

It is making me more nuts than usual to know who to root for tonight.

A. Do we want the Nets closer to the 9 or 10 seed - meaning they would have to play the 1 seed when they come out of the PI?
B. Or do we want them closer to the 7 or 8 seed - meaning they would play the 2 seed when they come out of the PI?
And BTW, there is no doubt in my mind that they will come out of the PI!

C. Do we want the Heat to lose & give us another shot at the 1 seed - but then the Bulls are still too close to our ass?
D. Or do we want the Bulls to lose so that we are closer to clinching a Top 4 seed - but then the Heat remain 2 games ahead of us in the L column?
Note: 2 more W for us & 1 more L for the Bulls & 1 more L for the Raps and we clinch a Top 4 seed.

HELP!

BTW - tomorrow 6 of the 7 top seeds in the EC play - including Heat @ Raps, Mavs @ Bucks & Sixers @ Cavs.
Aside from whomping the Wiz with a SATISFYING W this time - lots of mind twisting later tonight.

I know we have the tie breaker V the Heat & the Sixers.
What about the Bucks?

Duke v Carolina tonight in the Final 4.
CLASSIC next to last game of Coach K’s beyond historic career versus Duke’s arch rival.

As a resident of Raleigh, it was bizarre watching UNC vs Duke with the TD Garden out of my window in town for tomorrows game. A historic game for us NC people and here I am in Boston for a late season garbage game.

Hopefully Jayson is playing tomorrow and isn’t too sad.

Happy to be back, first time since Covid kicked off.

Use to work in Burlington during the week at the tail end of the big three era for a few years, would catch frequent weekday games via the T. Now it’s planned vacations with the kid and such but still great.

Either way, a monumental game for us North Carolina folks tonight. Hell, even my wife stayed up for it.

And if it's close in the 4th, blow them away in the last 6 minutes. I get that teams out of it are playing loosey goosey, and that may help them, but the Celts need to drop the silliness and drop their opponents. Let's go!
