Yeah, testing the mettle of the team and coming out shining in 2 clutch games (remember we were supposed to be bad at those?) is super helpful, imo.

What doesn't kill you...

I hated the fact that the tweet didn't call out Cousin Greg, as if he's just some rando with McLovin...put some respek on Cousin Greg's name!!!

He need to find a way to make amends and that’s by finding a way to come back to the Celtics and contribute in a positive way.

So you want Kyrie to beg to come back to us like he's a scorned girlfriend who couldn't let go of the past? Gotta say, that sounds appealing...but no, we've moved on and moved forward to better things 8-)

Don Nelson and Grant actually go really well together, because:

1. Nelson was a bad shooter before he was a good one.
2. Smallball.
3. Grant is a natural to have a long coaching career. (A gregarious game player.)

This team is special.

I've always been critical of our young guys. I've hated why Danny always go for the undersized, underdog, chip-on-their-shoulder type guys. But Grant and PP showed today exactly why. They're freakin warriors who are not fazed by anything.

On the other hand, I've never seen Durant look so rattled.

But don't let up. Play Rob when he's ready. Even 20 minutes from him would be a huge boost.

Grant can be trusted (a little) more on offense and defense and PP with defense compared to early season too, so that's partly it.

Defense in the 4th quarter was amazing! Pritchard and Grant were huge! Love watching this team!

Now lets win game 3!

Grant Williams 4/4
Kevin Durant 4/17

Payton Pritchard 5/7
Kyrie Irving 4/13

The Nets duo wasted too many possessions just trying to match the output of the Celtics stars

Anyone tired of listening to Perk’s trash takes prior to this game? Him and Richard Jefferson were like “Boston please stop booing Kyrie it’s only going to fuel him” foh with that soft ****, Celtics fans should continue booing the hell out of him and it came with arguably one of his worst playoff games of his career. This man ain’t what they try to think he is after 1 big game. He’s still very much inconsistent

I’m impressed with the toughness of our guys, they weren’t spooked by the task of coming back because they know it’s a 48 minute game. A lot of playoff experience on this team, and it’s paying dividends. Hopefully PP and Williams are absorbing it and repeat those performances on the road.

It was an organizational fail to not throw that last game to Memphis (and the Grizz reserves played hard - we would have lost). We'll win this series but we're putting miles on everyone, especially our bigs. Not good.

Seeing us up 2-0 and looking great against this talented Nets team while missing a key starter, the Raptors giving the Sixers a scare in game 2, the Heat blowing the Hawks out the water, and the Bucks struggling 1-1 against the broken Bulls and now might be missing Middleton for a bit (never like to see a guy go down to an injury like that but realistically it could affect the Bucks' playoffs), I'm not so sure we're on the hard side of this bracket anymore. Second seed might be serving us pretty well here.

Thankfully for Kyrie, he isn't coming back to Boston. Not this season.

Fantastic team win. Happy that a lots of guys scored points and grabbed boards and overall had a saying in that win.

If they could get it in 4 or 5, it'd be great.
Also, hopeful Bulls can win at least 1 at home to make this interesting and prolong the series.
Good assessment:

I don’t think Jaylen was on Durant much (10ish possessions like game 1 I’d guess), but he was just a wrecking ball defensively, and forced at least 2 or 3 turnovers himself.

The switching defense has brought out the best version of Jaylen on that end.

I have to rewatch the game but I would say 75-80% Tatum, 20-25% Brown but I could be wrong

Nba.com will have the tracking data tomorrow morning, but regardless, the team did incredible on KD tonight. I thought in game 1 he missed a lot of shots he usually hits, but tonight? That was SMOTHERING defense.

Tatum defended Durant on 45 possessions, 4 points on 0-7 shooting, with 0 assists and 3 turnovers. He defended Kyrie for 9 possessions and allowed 2 points on 1-1 shooting.

Jaylen defended KD for 10 possessions, 6 points on 2-5 shooting, and a turnover. Defended Kyrie for 15 possessions, 2 points on 1-2 shooting.

Not bad lol.
