Lets get the first one in Brooklyn! As PP says, "a series doesn't start until someone loses at home".....Keep that tenacious D going, their studs are burning out with the minutes Nash has them playing! Lets go

Bostonians should buy 3/4 of the tickets and turn these two into home games.

Could be the toughest one yet. The Celtics might not be allowed to be as physical as the first 2 games.

STAT OF THE DAY: Since 1983-84 season, only three NBA players have shot 100% from the field, FT line, and 3-pt area while not committing a turnover in more than 30 minutes of postseason play -- Shane Battier (9 pts), Maurice Evans (13 pts), and Grant Williams (17 pts).

The 2022 Celtics have found their James Posey. A very young and still improving James Posey.

This is a must win. If we win this game, our chances of stealing the series go up to over 30%!

The way Grant has been playing this year, I wouldn't be surprised to see him starting some day.

Wow what a great stat.

I was at the game last night and the first half was the same story. We're scoring at a fine clip but it "feels" like we're not because the Nets were putting up another 60% fg and 50% from 3 half. Kinda like they did in the second half of game 1 I think.

If we can continue to get a quarter or two a game when the Nets aren't putting up HoF worthy offensive numbers we should be able to keep the games close at least.

I wonder if Pritchard won some minutes in Ime's mind as he often has the offensive talent we're missing in the lineups that only have White as the backcourt rotation piece. Yes it opens up or defense but sometimes you just need to keep pace with a team going on an offensive tear.

Celtics need to do more of the same but better. I think the others are doing way to well on the Nets in the series thus far and we have to beat them on the boards and limit turnovers. The Celtics offense has not played a good game yet..average I'd say as far as good looks. Nets get some credit for that but we are better than this.

The chart above is surprising. Maybe cuz game 1 they were in the paint a zillion times and missing layups?

Btw 2-0 doesn't do **** for me. I'll be nervous until we can split one of these upcoming games. 3-1 is good enough we should be able to win one of those remaining games, but 2-0 and the Nets having 3 of the next 2 at home... eh. I'm not willing to feel comfortable with that. Not when both games where easily winnable by either team and the Nets somehow showed in game 2 they can shut down our one big offensive rebounding advantage.

He's on that PJ Tucker/Jae Crowder 2.0 trajectory. 6'6 strong, smart, feisty, physical dude that keeps popping on winning teams throughout his career. Nobody outside of the local fanbase knows how good he is due to low boxscore numbers until he is in his thirties and people are like "wait isn't this like the third different team he has started on that went to the conference finals". Better shooter than either of them too.

Come out on fire, punch them in the mouth, and the series will be over

Perhaps, but Jae, James, Tucker. Those guys have a long history as starters on good to great teams in their prime in this league and not coming off the bench. They were only that type of 3 and D bench guy as they got old.

Grant is still young but unless he becomes a starter in the NBA I don't think it's far to their legacies to start comparing him to them.

Nah, Tucker was literally out of the nba from ages
22-26. And Crowder started 24 games through his age 23 season, Grant has started 35 games so far.

No reason to think Grant won’t be a full time starter soon. The thing that could stop that is Beal, which is still very possible.

I am on record as choosing Nets and 2 seed because the Celtics need to be the team that eliminates them before they become a Juggernaut. A front court of Drummond, Durant and Simmons is pretty damn scary and going small with Brown instead of Drummond is even scarier. I don’t know if or when Simmons can get integrated - it could be instant in game 4 or it might take a few games. We almost have them on the ropes. The Celtics need to end this ASAP.

This team got that 2008 clutch vibes, especially Smart.

Oh okay fair enough! I only looked at their ESPN profiles and saw them starting all those games.

I do wonder what Grant could do to get better at this point. I suppose learning to dribble so he could start doing some stop and pops in the mid range.

We also don't use him in pick and rolls but I guess that's because he's not a roll threat but what if he learns the Embiid school of flopping and suddenly starts being able to create offense on his drives to the basket?
