Voted “team” because our team swept their team and damned if it doesn’t feel good to move on to the second round with the first two in Boston!

Not clear at all. That's your perceptive.

This is just one series. Brad got the team to the ECFs with less talent that this current team.
Ime deserves credit but you can give one person credit without having to discrediting another.

brad never beat a team as good as this nets squad in the playoffs.

Udoka not only beat the nets, but he swept them.

Brad got to the ECF but when he did the east wasn't nearly as deep and competitive as it was this season.

I was also not speaking in terms of how good/bad Brad is as a coach between the lines. But listening to the players, their relationship with Ime seems to be deeper and different. There's almost a reverence and complete trust that wasn't there in previous years. Just making the players esp the Jays buy in, shed their bad habits on offense, and realize how playing the right way could elevate their teammates/team was something Brad never really fully accomplished. Ime did it in half a season. Maybe it's also because the players matured and maybe they were tired of falling short, but Udoka really did a fine job making the guys listen esp after last season's disaster. Still love Brad and what he did in his tenure. This isn't me putting Stevens down but the Jays and Smart seem to view Ime differently. The franchise is in good hands.

And buckle up! The real challenge is the next three series:)

I have to admit I overestimated the Nets talent.

Celtics in 6 was too conservative.

Their role players shot like 65% for the series. We survived a 40 pt game from KD and a 40 pt game from Kyrie.

The talent is there. As flawed as they are, that is the most pure offensive talent that we are going to see all playoffs long. Other teams have better schemes, coaches, defense, bigs etc but nobody besides GS has the shot making and scoring Brooklyn has.

Idk how many games Middleton will miss, but I predict us holding them below 95 a few times if he's out. We could not even come close to that vs Brooklyn.
A new dawn will rise in Boston. ‎#StayLoyal THANK YOU TRUTH!

I need to apologize in advance, because boy was I wrong. I had Celtics in 5. It seems I didn't trust in my team enough .

Probably the biggest difference I see is we have no offensive lulls. No giant gaps where we couldn't hit a shot, or stretches where we give up a ton of quick points without scoring. That has been what killed us in many previous playoff seasons.

Credit Ime to knowing exactly how long to go with certain guys; not being afraid to sub someone quickly; knowing what plays to call on offense to where we don't go stagnant; reeling guys in who start to try and go ISO too much; and calling timeouts before the opponent goes on a run. He really has been critical in knowing his team and personnel, and knowing the correct moves to make at various points in the game. He's becoming the guru that Kyrie originally said Brad was.

I dunno man, imagine if we didn't have Rob Williams. Might have been a different story.

Personally, so thankful Tatum made that buzzer-beating layup in Game 1. Had he missed that, series over for us. ;)

Yeah, I think the Celts can beat the Bucks.

It's Miami and maybe Dallas, in the finals, that I'm worried about.

Celts seem to struggle against Miami and Dallas this season.

If you asked me to come up with a great script for this series before it began, I am not sure if I could come up with something better than:

Kyrie plays awesome on the road in Game 1 and scores a bunch of points, thinks he was the killer at the end of the game in a come from behind fourth quarter, only to have Tatum snatch it back at the buzzer. Seeing Irving stand there shell shocked as Tatum scored the winner on him was too good.

Celtics then go on to complete the sweep playing great two way team oriented basketball, while Kyrie does pretty much nothing else for the rest of the series.

I feel Shakespeare, Hemmingway, and Larry Birds Finger working together would struggle to come up with something better.

Random Stat/Factoid: This is the first time in NBA history that a team was swept in a 7-game series while shooting 45+% from the field and 35+% from 3 in each of the four games.

For the series, the Nets shot 50.3% from the field and 42.2% from 3. The Warriors are the only other team currently shooting 50/40 in the playoffs.

Sweep gives Jaylen a few extra days to rest/treat that hammy. April 30 is earliest date for 2nd round G1.

Love how all the media is dissecting the Nets like they collapsed in a steaming pile of doo. Not that we straight up beat they asses 4 time. More disrespect for a team that feeds on it.

Nets played fine. Not great but they got their on obligatory big game from kyrie, one from KD. their role players stepped up. they played hard on D, they shot well. We were just better in every way. Our stars were better our role players were better our D was better our coach was better.

Never thought we would sweep, but since we did... why don't we just go ahead and go Moses Malone on the L.

I just want to watch great basketball. Beating up on a bad Nets team without Simmons doesn't suffice though my hatred of Kyrie and KD helps. I hope Middleton is back so we can finally face a truly good/healthy team for the first time this year. I really want to see what we're made of.
