Hang on, you sure it's vs. the Bucks (if they beat the Bulls)? I thought we're going up against the Dodgers.

Lets get this! Bucks will be a tough matchup but we have a few days rest. Hopefully we will not be too rusty, though.

Them not having the Celtic killer Middleton in the first few games should be big for us.

Looking forward to the challenge, I trust this team to beat anyone in a series.

Lets win game 1!

Thanks, Parl.

I will post again when we know if it is the Maple Leafs, the Packers or the Yankees?

We are about to find out if it’s harder to beat a team with 2 great players or gritty competitors with no quit in them. I think the Bucks/Celtics will be a 7 game series. I’m encouraged by our performance in back to back game down 3 starters and the huge advantage we get with Middleton likely to miss first 3-4 games.

Bucks are going to be a handful. Celtics have to hit 3's or they will not beat them. That is what they concede. Giannis and Lopez in the middle are massive inside of they funnel players there. That's usually what they try to do.

It was supposed to be the opposite. Bucks were supposed to be chilling waiting for the Cs/Nets to finish their series. Funny how that turned out.

Did Jaylen get a hammy exacerbation again?
Suspicious they are keeping it under wraps.

I wonder, would the Bucks be willing to tank games 5 and 6 to force a 7 game series in order to get Middleton back sooner in series against Celtics?

Me.

Oh you meant “on”, not “of.”

EDIT - We actually have about 50 guys who would do as well as I would.

I doubt that. Latest second round would start is May 3. Middleton is reportedly going to be re-evaluated on May 6 (two weeks after injury). So best case scenario they get Khris a game sooner? Not worth the risk. Prolonging the Bulls series could lead to surprises including further injuries. I think they'd prefer the extra day of rest.

Since the Boston defense is built on having no weak links, it doesn't really matter who's the top defender. What matters instead is that Grant Williams is the 6th or 7th best defender on the Celtics... and he's become formidable on that end.

Giannis is classy & gifted - but I hate the travels & O fouls they allow him.

No disrespect to the Bulls but everyone is already assuming Bucks are gonna advance. This is gonna be Leg 2 in our revenge tour. Remember the Bucks beat us in the 2nd round in 2019 but we had the saboteur Kyrie back then. Jays/Smart have grown up since (Tatum into a legit top 5 player), we got a new coach, and we've added a couple of helpful role players.

No way.

Also game 6/7 was supposed to be the earlier side of a Middleton return, there's a very real chance he doesn't return at all this round.

So nothing to be gained by waiting, other then letting Rob get more time to practice and the Celtics more time to rest.

No they won’t. That will just be stupid. They will just risk other injuries playing extra unnecessary games.

Return to Boston Celtics
