Move over Sam and Steph, Tatum with the game seven record.

What a trainwreck, the alleged franchise player couldn't score a point over the last 7:20 of a game 7. Soft. I kid obviously and I don't think Feed You Head will have to dig too deep in the numbers to defend his performance to the non believers tonight

Let's hope the Celtics sweep the next two series so Tatum doesn't get a chance to break his own record.

We’ve been wondering all year what it would be like if he started hitting the 3 ball. Now we know.

This was a literal “put some chest hair on” game from Tatum; dude’s got a lion’s mane bursting out of that jersey

You know what's awesome? For the next decade or two, every single time anyone has an especially impressive game 7, people will ask, "How does it compare to the game Tatum had against the Sixers?" This is a legacy-burnishing game.

Also, not sure if it's been mentioned, but Tatum now holds the single game scoring records for all star, play in, and game 7. Not bad!

Only player to drop 50+ in a regular season, all star, plan in, playoff, and specifically a game 7 in league history too.

Play-in games, game 7's, and all star games are all so rare that there's a decent chance he will remain the only one to have done that for a pretty long time. Only Curry is really within striking distance.

Scheyer is proud of Tatum. And it's cool that Tatum still goes back to work out at Duke - clearly he is proud to be a Duke alum and still has a bond with Coach Scheyer.

Tatum may have been hot during game 7, but it was the approach that was great. He attacked early and didn't settle for a lazy step back/pull up 3. He went into the post against and used his combination of his strength and length to finish over mismatched. He started with the harder/flashier stuff after he got established. It wasn't him finding gold with his shot late in game 6. He worked for these points. This is the MVP quality we saw and what we need for the rest of the playoffs. He won't have this kind of night every game, but he needs to come into each one with this mindset.
