Anyone have a gif of Big Al nodding his head at Giannis?

YES!!

Series tied!

Now let´s beat them at home in game 5. Al was HUGE tonight. He´s been our best player against Milwaukee.

I was thinking of the same analogy, although honestly that was initiation more than retaliation.

A lot of pick-and-pop in Al's scoring.
A lot of spot-up.
A selection of other stuff.

Apart from the paltry numbers he put up lol.

Read on Twitter

He also drives the team bus and flies the JetBlue plane back to Boston while serving drinks.

Think I saw him working the concessions too.

I didn't think it was quiet at all. His defense was really great all game. But I know what you mean, it wasn't flashy. He just does a lot of things well. He is actually a lot better scorer than what he has shown so far in Boston. That shot is going to come around.
He also had a strong game 3.

Not worried about DWhite. He just needs to gain more confidence in his shot. We've seen how much he can contribute. His shots just need to fall.

The Kelly Olynyk Game won us a series, but the Al Horford Game is MUCH more impressive. Al shot the lights out (with Giannis as his primary defender too) while still managing to make life incredibly tough for Giannis. This feels like a heat of the moment thing to say, but that was one of the ballsiest and gutsiest performances I've seen from a Celtic.

God, I love this team. It still feels weird to say that especially with the way they started the season.

And lol at Wyc casually walking into the room where all the guys are lifting.

Super small sample since Ime hasn't gone to it much at all but Horford lone big with Tatum at PF...

Prior to this game, Bucks were only allowing 97.1 points per 100 possessions in the postseason. Their defensive rating in this game? 118.4. Their only worse defensive performance? Their game 2 loss to us with 118.5. But this felt different since we didn't have to rely heavily on 3. It also felt like we got into the paint more than usual.

Disparity in paint points:
Game 1 - Bucks +14
Game 2 - Bucks +30
Game 3 - Bucks +20
Game 4 - Bucks +4

Just rewatched the game and noticed it’s the double high screen that is confusing the Bucks defence. Because they’ve been putting Lopez in drop coverage and not helping off the corners, they have absolutely no answer for that play. It’s either getting Horford a wide open 3 or Tatum one on one with Matthew’s or Hill. Nice little adjustment made by Ime

I actually think he had a monster game. He actively shut down every man he was put on. Even got a timely strip of the Greek Charge in the 4th.

Bucks essentially playing 3 centers. Celtics should be able to wear them down throughout the game and have a conditioning / energy advantage in the fourth.

I'm thinking having only 1 big out there helps the Celtics in this respect especially when that big is draining 3's like Horford. Makes the Bucks have to spend more energy closing out. Lopez, Giannis, Portis can't camp in the paint. It also spaces the floor more making it easier for our guys to take it to the hole.

I'm wondering when Rob comes back if we don't bring him off the bench.

The stats back it up in the playoffs. Tonight though? I think it was just figuring out the Bucks defense towards the end of the second quarter.

For the playoffs as a whole, he has a 56% TS (game 3 drags it down from 60%) but in the 4th quarter of these playoff games? 76.4% TS, which is just absurd.

Jaylen has a 73.3 TS in the 4th quarter of the playoffs, as well.

Al did it against the defending champs and an MVP. Those Wiz teams never reached an ECF. Horford for sure.

Still can't get over that Horford dunk on Giannis. Big Al just gained entry into the "Celtics Disrespectfully Posterizing Giannis Club", of which Brown and Tatum are the sole members.

Yes, but you haven't been playing NBA level basketball for 15 years. It's not the same for us mortals. That's a TON of mileage and wear and tear on a body. It's like expecting a drag racing car to hold up as long as a honda civic. It's just not the same comparisson.

Hate the stupid faces he makes. Same with his moron, no talent brother always mean mugging on the sidelines like he would even be in the building if not for his little brother. It's tiresome.
