We solved the riddle in the 4th. Run their shooters off the 3 pt line. Make them drive all the way to the basket, don’t even let Steph take a step back long 2.
Make them pass it to the roll man to make a play.
We play them totally different from our Eastern opponents.
The only strong finisher at the hoop they have is Wiggins. Let him beat us.
And of course let Green shoot all he wants.

Yeah I personally would just try Wiggins on Tatum with some light help, at least to start the game. But I mean, all these teams do this to him for a reason I guess lol.

White especially just made lightning quick decisions, was sexy as hell. You’re right about the disrespect part, they should and seemed to have taken it personally.

A lot of their threes were just dumb mistakes by our young guys.

Games are over so late I don’t have energy to come right here and post.....brown was sensational to start the 4th. Absolutely clutch and really put us on his back. Huge huge kudos to him.

Derrick white....man he pulled some shots out of his ass but wow was he big time. Al horford? I mean what else can we say? guy brought it again. Tatum horrible shooting night but his growth as a guy who can impact the game in other ways is so huge. Come out game 2 like we are down 0-1.

Shore up offensive boards with looney - who is a menace and limit the second chance shots and I like our chance sunday. What a win!!!!! 3 more ladies and gents

Another thing that hit me, I didn't really feel the refs were bad or effecting the game at all last night. That was refreshing.

There were some obvious moving screens...but overall not bad.

A great team effort, so cigars all around. I recall the cameras focusing on Steve Kerr late in the 3rd quarter, and he was all smiles. The Celtics wiped the smile right off his face. What a great 4th quarter we had! Jaylen, Derrick, Marcus, Al, and Jayson all were huge. But let me give a shout out to Payton Pritchard. He played 8 minutes of the 4th quarter, scoring 5 points, and grabbing 4 rebounds. It's not a stretch to say that he had a positive impact on the game. The fact that Ime kept him in for 8 minutes while we clawed our way into a lead is testimony to that. Feels so good to take a win on their court! Go Celtics!

Isn’t it just nice to watch your team in the finals? It felt like something really special. The team was really humming too, it’s nothing like the slog against Miami. We look healthy? If our guys have this kind of energy going forward….

Horford just an unreal shooting performance, but he did get bet on the boards several times.

Yeah. In particular, we gave up too many (12) offensive rebounds. Not saying all Al's fault, but until the 4th quarter happened, those second chances may have cost us the game.

Quick question, why do you think we got so many wide open threes? Psssst, we know the answer.

There’s a reason you’re getting called out by multiple people. Tatum absolutely shot like ****, but he got to the line, he played great defense, and had 13 assists with 2 turnovers.

Horrible game shooting the ball, but there’s more to the game than that.

Man just stop with that nonsense. They didn’t win the game tonight because of jayson Tatum and those are facts. Yes he plays some good defense but big al and JB where the biggest reason. Anyway i expect Tatum to step up in game 2 . A little consistency goes a long way.

We all see that Jayson shot poorly, but his defense, and his 13 assists were very important to securing the win. No one is saying Jason was the star of the game, but his contributions should not be diminished because his shot wasn't dropping. Thankfully, his teammates did step up in the scoring department. Thirteen assists, though, is nothing to sneeze at.

I just watched the highlights, and was surprised to see that Hauser played in garbage time. The box score confirms this.

Other tidbits:

-- Horford's go ahead 3 was on an easy assist by Pritchard after a tough hockey assist by White.
-- Horford's next 3, getting the lead to 6, was on a kickout assist by Tatum.
-- Horford's OR + kickout assisted the Smart shot that felt like the dagger at the time.
-- Both teams played a lot of .5 ball, with very quick shot releases. Klay of course had the quickest release of all, other guys from both teams impressed in that respect.
-- On the slower release side, White hit some tightly contested 3s of the kind we usually see mainly from the Jays.

Some measure of poetic justice seeing Curry crushed by the 3 ball offense he (more than any other single player) unleashed on the league a decade ago. Very tempted to vote "team" for the VC, but going Horf. His back-to-back 3s and baseline pop down the stretch were the nails in the coffin that JB, DWhite, and Marcus had major hands in building. Tatum, with an eye-popping 13 assists, Rob, and Pritch also contributed significantly to this huge win.

Even more poetic since the 17-0 run began with White stroking a contested three in Curry's ugly mouthpiece-chewing mug.

I really don't like seeing players chewing on their mouthpieces. Curry is the worst offender.
