He was shooting great in the postseason, then he injured his shoulder, and he stopped shooting well. What a shocker.

Curry was 26 when he won his first ring, just saying. We need a 3rd dude that can shoot. We need Nesmith to hit shots so he can actually get minutes.

We can't give up so many rebounds, and I think we can get rw3 in on offense more.

Wtf happened to this team's pnr game?

Tatum: 21/7/7 on 48 TS%

Compared to two other's first Finals:

LeBron: 22/7/7 on 43 TS% (18/7/7 on 54 TS% and really bad 4th quarter performances in his 2nd Finals appearance)
Kobe: 15/4/4 on 41 TS%

This isnt even mentioning all the other horrible star appearances in other playoff series that weren't the Finals. Are people forgetting most guys don't win championships as the #1 guy by the time they're 24 years old? Are people already forgetting him being 1st team All NBA this year, or him averaging 27/6/6 on 59 TS% in these playoffs leading up to the Finals. Also him dropping 30/9/4 and 26/10/6 on a combined 54/57/92 shooting in Game 6 and 7 in the ECF to even get this team to the Finals?

Wow a 24 year old struggled his first time in the Finals. The majority of guys arent even sniffing the finals as 1st options at that age and the majority who do, tend to struggle.

Kobe really didn't have to do anything in his first Finals. Not with Shaq being unstoppable and averaging 38/16 in that series.

He still shot well in the Finals. Just couldn't finish anything at the rim lol

Can we stop comparing JT to Lebron and Kobe? Both of those guys were MVP caliber at Tatum’s age and on track to becoming two of the all time greats. On top of that, they’re just on a different level physically/athletically.

My point with bringing those two up is a young player struggling in his first finals isnt really all that unheard of, even for some of the greatest players of all time.

Now yes just because guys like them were able to bounce back doesnt mean its automatic that Tatum will. But considering the fact that Tatum just turned 24 and was 1st team All NBA, was top 6 in MVP voting, and he was averaging 27/6/6 on 59 TS% in the playoffs with some massive games in big time situations (closing out the Heat series). I wouldnt just automatically think that because of this performance he wont be a player you can ever trust in the Finals going forward.

Little more of an interesting situation than what we all thought was probably going to be the case 2 months ago. Went from a normal, "we're in a mid market and the team can't win situation so I'm going to ask for a trade" to "we got to the finals and the reason why I don't have a chip is because I choked". This changes the dynamics for him and Brown asking for trades now for sure.

Personally choking has never stopped Harden from blaming his situation. ;)

Harden is a different human all together. Only superstar that had top 3 talent that focused more on strip clubs than basketball

I hear the drugs are DANGEROUS they will MESS YOU UP!

here's a list of guys I'd trade Tatum for:
Giannis
Prime Shaq/LeBron/Jordan/Bird/Magic/probably Garnett/Duncan
end of list

You said “probably” after listing prime Shaq, Bird etc and you are accusing HIM of being on drugs? Hahaha. Thanks for the chuckle.

No, I said “probably Garnett”, which is probably an insult to KG but I’d have to think about that swap.

The rest of that list is not “probably”.
