I don't know why they're calling is "2K23"?

Bring in a bunch of mid twenties retreads from G League and overseas, and let them go full Thunderdome for a roster spot. Then give it to whichever one plays team ball, defence, and can shoot.

Madar, Begarin, Hauser, pick #53, an UDFA. Play those guys 40 minutes a night, no more messing around. The Celtics lost the summer league and NBA finals this year, it's time to bring a title back to Boston

I could also see Nesmith playing a couple games to get his rythm/confidence back.

I think that all of our Bottom 7 will play. Also, a Drafted Rookie, Some Undrafted Guys, and maybe some Internationals.
Pritchard and Nesmith may Play again, as well. Just for the Practice.
And Madar & Begarin, of course. -- We'll have a Full Roster.

Reserves: (Morgan/Thomas) - Stauskas - Hauser - Fitts - Kornet
Two-Ways: (Rookie) - Ryan?

Yeah. I get it, now. I was wondering why not 2K22? But that's already out.

Kornet and Stauskas have been around too long. I just can't see them playing in summer league. I don't think the Celtics are going to keep Thomas around, although he could certainly play on the summer league team as an audition for other teams. Ryan, Morgan and Fitts only have a couple years in the league so they might play. We'll know more after Thursday.

-Our 2nd round pick in this week's draft
-If we pick up an UDFA after the draft
-If we want to add a big man from overseas to the roster so they can try and get a training camp invite (Chinanu Onuaku, Borisa Simanic, Jo Lual-Acuil, Duop Reath)
-Assuming no Ryan, Stauskus, Fitts, Morgan or Thomas but maybe?
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

I don't think Pritchard or Nesmith should play Summer league. I suppose you could hope that Nesmith plays well and enhances his trade value, but the opposite could also occur. As for Pritchard, IMHO he needs a mental break as much as anyone else in the rotation.

Agreed on Payton, but Nesmith needs reps, and here's a chance at it. Otherwise, Hauser and Begarin get free auditions for his job, and all of them are subject to being passed over in favor of any vet wing we can land this summer in FA/TPE market.

Edit to add: I don't know how fundamentally competitive and/or motivated Nesmith is -- he said all the right things when we drafted him, and he plays with an abandon that's hard to summon/maintain, but if he wants to actually establish himself as a rotation player on this team the next 3 --6 months are the time to do it!
