Good that we can start watching games and that this "bad news" offseason is over...

All this means is 10/18 is getting close- when the games really matter. Wake me up when we get there. Sunday at 1 nfl or Celtics pre- season? Tough choice.lol.

For me it’s no contest. DVD Celtics and watch later. Skipping NFL altogether this year.

I get it although I am a little surprised. I am curious to see if any of fringe or 2 way players show they may belong. That might mean fast forwarding thru a lot of uninteresting moments. The NFL ended for me when TB12 left. It’ll never be as good (as a Pats fan) and the NFL wasn’t that great to start with for me (3 hr games with only 12 min of actual play).

If I am home and nothings on I’ll throw it on and of course follow the news stories and podcasts leading up to the 18th as well as engage in the conversation.

I won’t avoid it on purpose but just not something I get too excited over other than it meaning the season is here. I do try and watch every regular season game however.

I think in this game the game plan will be to have our cake and it it too.

On one hand, I think Mazzulla and the players will want to send a message to the league that we mean business. They want to send a message that making the finals last year was not a fluke, that they are not getting complacent. Mazzulla is fired up to prove himself and get a win in his first game as coach. He also wants to prove that this team is locked in and is not letting the Udoka situation phase them.

They want to come out and beat the hornets by 20+.

But at the same time, it's just the 1st preseason game so the starters (especially Al) won't play heavy minutes.

A focus will be on working the new guys (Brogdon and Griffin in particular) in.

1AM preseason game where two of our rotation players are injured and Jays might not even play more than 15 minutes??

I'm excited for Celtics basketball. Hoping the guys have fun, get the rust off and come out of the preseason with no further injures. Pretty please.

I'm excited for this. Both for the game and to see if the new League Pass latency is as low as they are hoping it will be.
