The last JB thread was getting progressively more disastrous so we're starting over. I don't know why y'all want to have the same argument every day but different strokes for different folks I guess lol.
Please do your part to avoid the hostility this time. No personal attacks. This is RGM policy. Debate the post you disagree with. Heck, even insult the post if you must. But don't insult each other personally.
I know opinions on Jaylen are all over the place but the dude is playing great and deserves a better thread. Please and thank you!

So I don’t love sharing personal stuff on here, but since I was rather….pissy earlier and recently, I feel I should explain. My gf had been spitting up some blood the last few days, and her doctor sent her to the ER earlier today about possible internal/GI bleeding/blood clotting. I was trying to distract myself from worrying on here while waiting, and I’d like to think I could separate personal life issues from how I post on a forum, but I’m not that advanced lol.
I stand by my opinions, but I should have expressed them better.

Damn man sending healing vibes to your gf wherever she may be. Modern medicine is pretty miraculous I’m sure they’ll get her fixed up! Hopefully tonight’s game can provide a better escape than this forum. We’ve set the bar somewhat low lol

Thanks man. And yeah I’m just sitting here with her waiting, they’ve ruled out the scarier things, but earlier today I was a disaster lol. I have a pretty bad anxiety disorder, which certainly didn’t help.

I'm just glad how far Jaylen has come.
Some were even mad at Ainge for drafting him instead of Nunn, and even Bender. He was so raw when he entered the draft that only thing he had going for him was his athleticism. He's now one of the most efficient scorers in the NBA today.

This is an embarrassment. The last thread was 84 pages….about 5 pages total of that was contentious or abrasive back and forth conversation- and that’s being a bit hyperbolic. People exchanged words and then moved on before it got out of hand or control. At best it was light ball breaking within guidelines.
Jaylen brown is always going to be a polarizing figure- all sports teams have players like this. People who loved him early on will say “I told you so” people who didn’t will continue to knock him and those who have changed opinions will be accused of “moving goal posts”. This whole forum and website thrives because of spirited debates like this. He’s not even the first Celtic people are passionate about one way or the other and he won’t be the last and as long as it’s not vulgar or extremely crude how can a mod or anyone shut down a thread because they don’t like the way the conversation is currently or where it’s “headed” when it’s 95% within forum rules.
That’s what sports is about. I must say it’s ironic that you say “Jaylen deserves better” in reference to this new thread after some posters have brought up how sensitive some appear to be in any criticism of the player. Isn’t that proving that point and also what does that even mean? “He deserves better”.
We have one the best sub forums here because we are passionate and very vocal fans. We have some of the best mods going but this was just wrong and extremely soft and a very slippery slope.

↑↑↑ I think the lock was a bit for dramatic effect. You could tell the thread wasn't going in a good direction, while at the same time the mods wanted the conversation to go on. Just a "burn the tape" situation.
