Screw the raptors but I wonder if it’s not wise to give a few guys the night off. They have a decent cushion on the 1 seed at the moment. Personally I’d give Horford, Brown, Tatum, Rob and Brogdon some extra rest in this

I know they're having a 'down' season, but I'm not comfortable enough against TOR to do that.
I miss the TOR fans, but you know they're looking at this like

Siakam >> Brown

hope whatever Celtics play get themselves appropriately ready to show up and compete from the jump

I don’t really mind if the Celtics take an L here is kinda my larger point. They have a big enough cushion at the moment that the pros outweigh the cons. At the very minimum Tatum should be sitting after playing such big minutes against GSW

If JB is not fully back, rest him. If he is, rest Tatum. Al and Rob have rest coming up in the Florida B2B.

Take care of the boards and take care of the ball. Raps are a poor shooting team (Rockets and Hornets only teams worse). They are good at scavenging for easy points (top 3 in fastbreak points, points off TOs, 2nd chance pts) but are poor offensively in the half court overall.

Good news, as Koloko was a pretty big factor in one of the other times we faced toronto with his ability to protect the rim.

I'm calling it now. Hauser goes 2-3 from 3 but is overshadowed by a breakout game from:

Regardless of records, the Raptors almost always play the C's hard (it's like they don't like them or something :dontknow: ) I am expecting a really close game where the Raptors play at their very best. As long as the C's do their job they should come out OK, but another performance like the last game (at least for the first 40 minutes or so), and this could easily get ugly.
Hopefully Brown will pick up where he left off from the last 10 minutes of the last game, and keep it going from there.

I actually enjoy games when Tatum or Brown are out. Not in must win matchups but love to see others get more involved. It can lead to a boost in confidence and rhythm.

Even more so I don't want Tatum to burn out during the playoffs. Even a young Iron man like player in Tatum needs fresh legs.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

We have a back to back against the Magic & Heat after the Raptors game. Seems a really stupid move to rest him the Raptors game instead of the Magic game.

Because he played an insane amount of minutes last night. Makes more sense to rest him the next game, when he’s more likely to be tired.

Plus I think the Celtics want to kick the Magic’s ass lol, and you know he’s not missing the Heat game.

Entering tonight, only 24 players have yet to miss a game this season. Derrick White is the lone Celtic on the list.

If we were playing the Raptors tonight I’d understand but it defeats the purpose to rest him if you’re just going to play him in a back to back straight after.

Seems to me like they are resting him when he is tired and his wrist hurts rather than 4 days later.

I have no confidence in any game played without tatum. Hopefully we find a way to get it done though.

I like their chances better against a team like the Raps, who don’t have the best offense. It’ll be a lower scoring game, and I’d like to think that the Celtics have enough offense to overcome it.
