I like that we gave up nothing of value.

Stick him in a corner and let him shoot 3's. Another tool in the tool shed, can't hurt.

As long as it's not the Houston 2nd, this is solid. Could be a taller Hauser if he's got a hot hand.

Didn't know he was still in the NBA tbh. I think he's decent.

Told y’all to lower your expectations. :P

I had him as one of our possible targets last season. Stevens went with Theis instead.

In today's NBA the ability to shoot threes (and make enough to cause the other team to have to react) is one of the most important abilities a player can have - sounds like MM might be one of those guys!
The C's now have more three point potential!!!

Another good move from Stevens. One of the best shooting centers in the league. He's a pro and doesn't turn the ball over. Advanced stats really like him.

He has a 3.5 million team option for next year so this isn't necessarily a rental. Celtics can keep him or he could be used to match salary this summer in a bigger move.

How's his defense? In what contexts is he at least serviceable?

Solid depth piece and the playoff rotation is Al, Timelord, Grant assuming full health. Gave up nothing to add him

Very good trade. We gave up next to nothing for somebody a big who can contribute.

And if we want to keep him, he has a Team Option for $3.5 million next season.

Call me whelmed.

Knockdown shooter and has good energy. Fans in OKC and Philly love him.

When you score 16 points in 17 minutes to help ruin LeBron's and the Lakers' momentous night (even just a bit), you deserve to wear Celtics green.

Nothing to write home about. Apparently "underrated", but still below average.

He's a floor stretching big, wouldn't expect any more than that out of him. Small ball 5 who doesn't protect the rim, but can shoot and run some pick and roll. Alternatively he could play the 4, but probably gets smoked defensively by anyone considered at all quick for the position.

Stuck in no-man's land in OKC as someone who wasn't part of the future, but not good enough to warrant a move from a contending team (until now), which lead to him not getting any run and the self-fulfilling prophecy of him being an afterthought for the rest of the league.

Ultimately gives us another option in the third big carousel also featuring Kornet and Griffin. Team option for next year at 3.5m if it works out (or if we want some cheap salary for matching purposes).

The Lakers once got fleeced trading for Muscala. So his name has appeared in unfavorable contexts since.

(They got him from the Clippers for Zubac and Beasley, immediately after the Clippers got him as part of the deal that sent Tobias Harris to the Sixers.)

He is a competent player, he can help manage some of the load for Al.
