Bloody hell, you guys! We did not win the big game!

Celts didn't play the good defense tonight, didn't rebound well, and got away from attacking the rim on offense. Made 15 3's in the 1st half but still trailed at halftime. We turned up the defense late but by then the Hawks were feeling it and we didn't do enough to steal the win.

I'd have loved to win this one and I'm not pleased with how we played. But it's the playoffs and it's not supposed to be all sunshine and roses haha. We'll bounce back and whip that butt next game! Just play better, ya big goofs!

Game 4 is Sunday at 7pm ET on TNT, GO C'S!

JT playing 40 minutes a game in what could easily be a 6 game series in the first **** round is not ideal.

Jaylen with 1 board in 33 minutes. Hauser had 1 in 9 minutes. Al, Rob, Grant had 11 combined.

Absolute joke to lose this game.



Tatum, Brown and Mazzula can get **** tonight. Never seen Jaylen so passive and pathetic offensively.

Trae had more blocks than every Celtics player combined.

Joe should have gone Smart, White, Brogdon, Jaylen, and Tatum down the stretch.

Our players should have played better.

Outrebounded 48-29. Anyway i am not shocked at all. This team could surprise you at anytime with their lethargic play. An extra game 5.

Just a deplorable defensive effort from the Celtics tonight, from start to finish. It was already evident in the 1st quarter, they were seemingly daring so many Hawks to shoot, and shoot the lights out they did so Cs were relegated to playing catch up the rest of the way. Just horrible.

They better get their **** together next game. If thise goes back to Boston tied at 2, this will be a massive disappointment.

I understand not coming in with the right intensity every game during the regular season but it’s bewildering when they don’t do it in the playoffs.
They knew Atlanta was going to be fired up being down 2-0 & being back at home yet they played like it was just a standard January regular season game.
We’re the most talented team in the league but our mindset could come back to hurt us.

Big L was a combination of a lot of things. Out pointed in the paint, outrebounded, plus Hawks hitting everything they throw at the rim.

Should not have lost that game. This Hawks team is trash. They needed a sweep and play dominant bully ball. Guess they not like that.

Not just bad defense, bad, lazy and dumb offense that was made to look better by an unusually high clip of threes in the first half. At least in the first half there was a lot of movement that created the threes. In the second half there was way too much one and done and not enough White in the sets.

However, the good news is Atlanta played very well, we played poorly and it was still a close game in Atlanta.

Reality check for this team. Some of the posts here after the Philly game yesterday was insane. We are not so much better than the rest of the league. It will be a dogfight to win it all this season. So far, our guys have talked the talk of being angry and hungry, but haven’t showed it.

Hey look on the bright side we secured an extra home game for ownership. Something last years team failed to do in the first round

Hawks had 6 players with 5+ rebounds and we had only 2.

This should have been the game to use the Blake card infuse some **** energy in the game

Jaylen should focus on being all star Jaylen brown instead of focusing on what to write on his shoes.

Man hasn’t felt impactful in this series. Tatum has shown flashes but not the mvp level he played with at times throughout the season.

Very soft performance from everyone just chucking threes and getting bodied when it comes to points in the paint and rebounding.

I'm not surprised we lost 1.

Sweeps are very rare in a 7 game series, especially these past few years with the amount of talent that each playoff team has - there's less separation between playoff teams than ever before.

last year there was only 1 sweep the entire playoffs. and that was a series where the nets already gave up before the series even started (former Net Mike james said on a podcast that before the series, KD told him on the phone that they were gonna lose to us). and obviously kyrie wasn't even trying anymore after that buzzer beater game 1 win for us.

the year before that there was only 2 sweeps the entire playoffs. it's rare these days.

we'll win in 5. hawks were at home, they made every shot they threw up there and they have the 3rd ranked offense in the league. not the end of the world if they win a game. warriors didn't sweep any series last year and they still won the title. we had to go 7 games in the 1st round in 2008 and we still won it all.
