Grizzlies, Cavs, Bucks, Nets, Wolves, Clippers are done
If you want, let's play a game:
Is there anyone from these teams that we may be interested in trading Pritchard, Grant and a first for? Pretty sure that Brad won't be moving his top 8 unless it's a huge overpay.
Challenge:
1) Create a trade idea that is reasonable
2) works in trade checker
3) from the listed teams only
4) using only Pritchard, Grant (for this game, we will say Grant is resigned at 4 for 48) and picks.

Why do we say the Bucks are done?

I still think Bucks can win that series.
Cavs maybe, but unlikely.
The others are done.

Dorian Finney Smith is the boring answer.
I suppose Brandon Clark in a weird buy low opportunity if they think he bounces back. He's locked into a contract which the team likes and they've taken shots on guys with injury histories pretty frequently (Rob Williams, Brogdon, retaining Gallo eg).
Not totally sure on the new CBA rules for trades though. Saw one mention that teams over the second apron can't aggregate salaries nor take back more than they send out (no more 25%+100k fudge factor for those teams). And they already have poison pill issues on a Grant s+t so he only counts for half his salary.
So based on a 4/48 s+t-ing Grant they could take back only about $5M lol if all that is the case (or a little more if he has a flat/declining salary). Or just a hair more than with PP by himself this summer.
Edit: didn't realize Clark's extension hadn't kicked in yet. So hypothetically they might have a shot to pull off that trade at the draft before the league year ends. But I can't remember how his upcoming extension affects his trade status so (shrugs).

The Kings are done.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

I would say, take Pritchard and Grant, and trade them for Future Picks. Which we do need.
We are concerned about Horford, Gallinari and Rob Williams, in descending order.
Other than those 3 mentioned, we have a solid rotation for at least a few years.
We also have 3 x Two-Ways to obtain.
I think that we should concentrate on the future, and filling out the back of the roster, with "auditions".
Give some prospects a chance to develop.
Edit:
Grant to the Cavaliers for 3 x 2nd Rounders.

Edit:
Pritchard to Trailblazers for 1 (or 2, if poss) x 2nd Rounder

Re: Grizzlies, Cavs, Bucks, Nets, Wolves, Hawks, Clippers are done
Filtering out the most expensive players and guys that are signed short term (Stevens MO has been to trade for guys signed long term), there's not much left.
Non-rookie contract guys that under contact from those teams that make less than 15 millions and are under contract still for 2025/2026:
Dorian Finney-Smith (Player Option)
Bobby Portis (Player Option)
Brandon Clarke
Pat Connaughton (Player Option)
Dean Wade
John Konchar
After Finney-Smith it's a pretty meh group. Unless Stevens can get DFS or somehow does a double sign & trade Grant + assets for Cam Johnson I don't think there's much here that interests the Celtics. They'll probably deal with other teams instead.

Grant Williams to the Cavs for Rubio and Wade
Would like to add enough to a deal to try and nab Mobley...I think Grant WIlliams, for that team, at PF actually serves them better even though Mobley is the superior player.

Grant Williams' career numbers compared to Dorian Finney-Smith are so similar per minute it's scary. There might not be a closer pair in the NBA.

Re: Grizzlies, Cavs, Bucks, Nets, Wolves, Hawks, Clippers are done
Seriously though, the guy (Grant Williams) who was fourth in total minutes on the team can't even get off the bench in the playoffs. This team's top end is good, and their depth is good. Maybe they get forced into a huge deal by circumstances or CBA or whatever. Or maybe they make a move because of Grant's contract. But I'm heavily leaning into not much in the way of deals at all, outside of Pritchard getting relocated and re-allocating picks and stash guys and what not.
These CBA changes may be hurting these other top teams a lot more than this one and if so nice time to sit back and reap the rewards of a well built team.
Outside of that, not sure what other ninth man type deal that they need.

If the Celtics want Mobley, the Cavs instantly hang up unless we offered Jaylen++, and they still probably say no.

It would be great to be able to add enough to grant, i dont think it is possible at all.
But Jaylen ++ is ludicrous.

He’s 21, just averaged 16/9 with 3 assists, 59% TS, and finished third in defensive player of the year. He’s going to be cheap for the next couple of years, and then on a bargain contract after that.
He’s a top 10 trade value guy in the league.

Not nearly as ludicrous as offering a bench player for a future all star/DPOY on a rookie contract though.

I didnt offer that.
I said I would like to add enough to grant to get him. Not that it could or would happen.
I offered grant for rubio and wade.
