Game 4 didn't do much to change my confidence level. Winning this game would. Even then, I won't actually believe the celtics will win the series unless they force a game 7. I think if they force a game 7 it's over. One game at a time though. Get this one and make it a respectable series again.

This is now a 3-1 series. 13 teams have come back from that. Cs can be the 14th if they keep playing the right way both ends and make enough shots.

We're **** now, we think we are good after that last game so that means we are going to play ****. This team is so immature, you never know wtf you're going to get.

I’m already prepped to be mad at them for reverting to their old blah ways but might as well give em a chance and continue to cheer em on. We have the whole summer to fake trade and fake fire everybody if they lose again at home.

Go get another one, boys!

But no one has ever come back going 0-3? Coming back from 1-3 is different. You lose 1, you win one, then you lose 2 more... you only have to win 3 straight. We have to win 4 straight games because we lost the first 3 games of the series.

Yeah but the odds of winning 3 straight doesn't change just because you started from a 3-0 hole.

Man the Celtics roped me back in last night. I am trying to tame my expectations because after a statement elimination game from the C's last night, I could see them reverting back to their old ways in game 5, especially with it being at home.

My biggest fear is this, has any team come back from being down 3-0, tie the series 3-3, and then lost game 7 at home? I was already on a high from winning game 7 against Philly. Then game 1 against Miami happened and while I was bummed, I didn't lose much hope. Then game 2 happened and the blowout in game 3 and I about checked myself out for the season. I don't know if my rollercoaster of emotions with this team can handle them coming back and tying the series 3-3 and then losing game 7 at home. If that did happen, I may need a Celtics break for an extended period of time lol.

You win this game and I’m back on the train.

One of the reason why the Celtics were down 0-3 in the first place was because they didn’t give maximum effort. They all brought into the noise that they’re better and more talented team with home court. The Heat wanted it more. Last night was the first time the Celtics wanted it just as much as the heat and the result showed. The difference last year Celtics to this years is that last year’s team was really motivated because of the bubble and losing to the bucks and nets in previous playoffs series, there’s no revenge factor this year for the team but there is for the heat. All that shouldn’t be a factor anyways with the finals on the line but the way the Celtics play I feel like it’s a part of it unless they’re on the brink of elimination which they show out for usually.

hopefully they woke up a sleeping Giant! Can't believe that was a no call yesterday lol. JT needs to stop whining after every play, then the zebras might give him the respect he deserves!

Win Game 5 at home and put all the pressure on Miami to win Game 6.

Get this one and now this is a series. Need a Rowdy Garden. Better not have a voice by the end of the night if you’re attending.

Saw this in another thread. Every team that fell 0-3 and forced a Game 7 (Rochester Royals vs. New York Knicks, 1951 NBA Finals, Utah Jazz vs. Denver Nuggets, 1994 NBA Western Conference semifinals, Dallas vs. Portland 2003 Western Conference first round) had to play on the road.

1. To a first approximation, no.

2. However, it is presumed that in a competitive series the pendelum tends to swing back and forth, whether due to emotion or adjustments.

3. That said a lot of these factoids fail to differentiation between correlation and causality. If in 149 trials no team won 4 straight games, this suggests that teams that were down 3-0 were a lot less than 50-50 bets to win each game. That of course makes sense, for why else had those teams lost 3 straight in the first place.

On the other hand, if you really think the Cs are approximate a 50-50 bet or better to win any given game, then their chances from here would be 1/8 or better.
