Re: Trade Tread pt.2 2023-24 - (Off-season)
So last thread I posted a deal built around Brogdon, PP, S&T Grant and possibly a first to ORL for WCJ and Harris. I was told it's illegal and will admit I'm not as up to date on the CBA as I used to be, so while I wait for my handcufffs... why is it illegal, what could make it legal, and what will my wi-fi be like in jail? I know we'd need to add a little filler on there end to match salaries with Grant being a S&T, but what else?

Brown and gallo to portland
#3 and 35 to Toronto
Og, simons and #13 to Boston
Simons/Brogdon
Smart/white
Tatum/#13
OG/GrantW
Timelord/Horford
Thats a ridiculous team, imo.
2 robins and 2 batmans and a timelord.

I kinda like that. It's a lot of salary for POR to absorb even with just Brown, so we probably keep Gallo. And 3 & Simons is a lot for Brown, so I think they get 13, but give us 23.
OG still isn't #3 worthy even with 13 coming back, but better. We can probably just keep 35.
TOR needs to eat salary, so give them Brogdon.
BOS: OG, Simons, Thad, 23 for Brown, Brogdon
POR: Brown, 13 for 3, Simons, 23
TOR: 3, Brogdon for OG, Thad, 13
Smart/JD
Simons/White
OG/Hauser
Tatum/Grant/Gallo/Thad
Rob/Al/Muscala
23, 35, PP
EDIT: Maybe TOR sends us a future first too? Not sure. I feel like 3 & Brogdon is a little too good. OR we get 13 and they send POR a future instead and keep 23.

I'd rather get Siakam who's more durable and can play up to 5.

That's an old and common one, as is the one that starts "Some come here to sit and think ..."
One I've only heard of once, told to me by somebody who saw it in a girls restroom, is:
Mary had a little sheep
With the sheep she went to sleep
The sheep turned out to be a ram
And Mary had a little lamb.
My first exposure to each of those was >50 years ago.
Banned temporarily for, among other sins, being "Extremely Deviant".

Same. If TOR would go for it, switch it up. They can keep 13 at that point.
EDIT: Salary makes that version harder. Didn't realize Pascal made so much more than OG. Definitely doable tho with tweaks.

Re: Trade Tread pt.2 2023-24 - (Off-season)
Still have Anunoby #1 on my list if we want to run it back and are willing to give up future picks. I don’t see any teams except maybe Memphis and OKC that could/would throw away their future picks for a super-roleplayer like Anunoby. Kickstarts Toronto’s rebuild and allows them to go all in trying to find a suitor for Siakam
S&T Grant, Pritchard, ‘24 & ‘26 1sts (maybe add in a swap) for Anunoby.
Smart/Brogdon/Davison?/Madar?
Brown/White
Tatum/Hauser/Begarin?
Anunoby/Gallo?/Kabengele?
Horford/Rob/Kornet?/Muscala?
Set on the wings now and gives Joe a bevy of options even if he wants to continue to go small. Anunoby should be good for defensive intensity and little things at that position when the jays are getting lazy. Just have to focus on finding a replacement for Horford (35th ovr for Isaiah Stewart?) and keeping the payroll down.

You can't really play OG at the 4, though. He's only 6'7" and had a rebounding % of just 7.9. It's usually at least 10, if not 11+ for a 4.
I guess perhaps you don't really worry about it so much, though - since this is such a stacked roster haha. Its's basically just our team now but with OG instead of Grant. We'd be favorites for the title.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything
