Howdy gentlemen. Just dropping this off.

Not sure who or what picks would be going out for y’all, but would be a great fit for Boston imo. A legit floor-spacing 7’3 big who shot 39% from 3 last season on high volume. Would be a significant upgrade over Horford. He’s entering his prime at almost 28 years old.

Porzingis averaged 23 pts, 8 rbs, 3 asts, 1 stl, & 1 blk last year on 50/39/85 splits.

Huge risk. And if he thrives, you have to re-up him. So what would the outgoing salary be? Brogdon, filler players, but then if you're trying to manage your own cap you have Smart, Al, even Rob - and potential additional assets from Washington to balance value.

For me it's easily Smart and Williams.

Hopefully it is for JT. I have had enough of his inconsistent play and Porzingis is a guy you build around.

Jokes aside this would be huge. Boston cannot go into next season with Williams and Horford as their two bigs.

You play Rob as the roamer/4 on defense, KP as the drop man. And reverse on offense, Rob is the lob threat and Porzingis the stretch big.

Why in hell would the Wizards do that?

I figure it's Brogdon + Gallo + Pritchard for KP.

Someone else said that you can play KP and Rob together. I'm not sure if I agree with that. Sure, KP can shoot. But I'm not sure KP has the mobility (especially after all the injuries he's had) to play the 4. I'm not sure if he can defend the perimeter the way that Al, Grant and tatum (the guys who played most of the mins at the 4 over the past 2 years) can, if he can get up and down the floor quick enough. We might just be too slow, not fast enough with KP and Rob out there together.

With that being said, I still think you could have KP and Rob on the same team. Just split their minutes. Alternate them. They both have a long history of injuries - by having both of them, you're able to not overdo it with the mins that you give either of them. Keep both of their mins to a manageable amount, give them occasional games off to rest. That way, they're both healthy come playoff time.

I suppose you could experiment a little bit with playing KP and Rob together. But IDK. They're both guys who are best used in the roamer role - you try to keep them away from having to defend the ball handler way out on the perimeter in space - you try to keep them closer to the basket (guard the guy in the dunker's spot or the wing who's in the weak side corner) so they can protect the rim, with someone like Tatum/Al/Grant at the 4 to defend the perimeter and switch out on quicker guys.

Perhaps though, if we do make this move, maybe you do move Rob in a separate deal...

And for those worried about Horford or Timelord going the other way. Doubtful. I think the goal would be to have Zinger start with Timelord. Horford off the bench.

I'm not sure why a rebuilding Wizards squad wants the Celtics vets?
You would think they would be more interested in Draft Picks and young players,
so this suggests the possibility of a 3-or-4-team trade, which may have to wait until July
to be consummated and could involve a Grant Williams S&T and such...

If they do it tomorrow after he picks up his option they could do Brogdon (third team or re-routed somewhere) plus two other small contracts.

This could explain why the Celts are interested in picking up a Late First. They need it to do something like 23 & 25 FRP or so.

Well, they want to have assets. Zinger could opt out and be a UFA. They would get nothing in return. Doubtful he'd want to return to a rebuilding team on a long-term deal unless they paid him a crazy amount to stay.
So by doing a deal with an interested party like Boston, he could opt in, go to Boston....Boston could then send multiple pieces under contract that Washington now has as asset(s). Subsequent moves down the line.

Wouldn't be any different this upcoming season. They will send out as much $$ as $$ coming in (Zinger). JB's extension kicks in next season. So re-signing KP could be an issue, but let's not worry about that quite yet
