YES! Gonna be some moving and shaking on the bottom of the roster. I'd say PP is gone. Just don't let it preclude a Javonte deal.
Baylor is Brat.

Definitely has some skill for a big 6'9" PG

didn't get much of an opportunity last season

His shot got better last season but didn't really do it consistently. That will be his swing skill

How tall is he really? Most sites (nba.com, ESPN, Wiki) say 6-7. Draft.net says he was 6-8 at combine. Basketball reference says 6-9.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

The Celtics have added three guys who have great physical frames but who need improvement on their shot. Walsh, Brissett, and now Banton.

It would be a real help if any of the three becomes a good shooter.

Watching video he reminds me of Pascal Siakam.

Poor man's Siakam, tho.

For context though, I'm not a fan of Siakam. Loves to iso, play like he is an elite scorer, easily neutralized if you game plan well and/or match his intensity, lack of bulk hurts his ability to max his potential as a defender. Goes full speed in the reg season and doesn't always have fuel left when it is needed the most.

Banton could be described as a wild, inefficient chucker from what I gather, not thrilled we are using a roster spot on yet another one of those guys, but good upside for the price and he can pester Walsh in practice. I think he offers better value for the minimum compared to Siakam at the max.

In the few times I've seen him play (including preseason), i was very impressed with him. I like this signing.
