Holy $^@* these two have impressed me so far.
Their defensive impact has taken us to another level.
They understand their roles and both seem willing to play hard on both ends and make certain sacrifices to let JB and JT still be our top dawgs on offense while still making a continued defensive effort and remaining focused.
We are so obviously such a better team than last year.

Yes. Absolutely. They're a tier up from last year, and that is some rarified air. Should be a fun season, especially halfway in when they gel and hit their stride better.

Was excited from the jump in bringing each of them into the fold. KPs fit is great, particularly if the team offensive concepts provide incentive for proper give and take. Jrue is an excellent blend of Smart-Brogdon. I fought against the idea of trading Brogdon all off-season, but I mentioned Jrue at one point as a guy I thought would be a compelling replacement and upgrade. But first because he was with the Bucks, then due to expected cost when moved to Portland, I didn't see him as a real option. I'm not so excited as to be truly convinced the upgrade will be worth the cost of Timelord, but he definitely shores up the backcourt wonderfully and should help support playing Pritchard in the rotation.

2-0 start is great. As I've posted before, want to see where this is at the quarter mark. I'll add Brissett as a worthy mention here too. His activity level and aggressiveness and hopefully his cutting volume and acumen will be infectious.

Jrue is so refreshing. I know many here loved Marcus but I grew so tired of him. Jrue fits like a glove and brings that dog plus extra that Marcus left.

KP? Just a damn good fit. Buckets. We have the best team in the east and there's no reason the Cs shouldn't make the finals. Only Jokic scares me.

Jrue is like a perfect version of Smart, I love Holiday !!

KP just needs to stay healthy !

I think Jrue is low-key one of the physically strongest players in the whole league. He knows it, as do the guys he plays against.

I think Smart was better than you imply but you are still right anyway. I thought Smart/White/Brogdon was an incredible 3 headed monster but I would have traded all 3 for Holiday in a nanosecond. The fact that we still have White too is amazing.

Smart got a lot of heat for taking “bad’ shots. The truth is that Holiday takes even more dumb 3 point shots. The difference is that Smart taking a ‘good’ shot was still bad. Worse was when he tried to force his way to the rim to ‘make something happen’. Even when that was a ‘good play’ it rarely worked out. Holiday on the other hand can get his shot anytime he wants and you believe they all will go in.

Trade was a no brainer.

Just like Malcolm for Jrue was a no brainer after it became clear that brogdan wasn't gonna be happy here.

I don't want to be the jerk out there, but I'm being a little more cautious. I want to see more of them. Probably I'll give an opinion around 30 games into the season. But with only 3 games in? I think its too damn early to say we're this or that. Many things can still happen.

Zinger's defensive impact around the rim is just so much more than I expected. He alters so many shots and makes guys like Brunson, Poole etc think twice before driving.

His shooting is so good that he can shoot from 5 feet out from the three point line and then get back on defense quickly.

I think another added benefit is having someone as good as Horford coming off the bench.
What a luxury to be able to take Porzingis or White off and bring in Al Horford.

Their combination of talent + Fit + chemistry is ridiculous for Boston. Impossible not love as a Boston fan.

Yep, so far he looks like the more balanced version of Marcus. Doesn't do the wild, dumb stuff Marcus is prone to doing.
