Gonna try a 2nd Poll in the Main Jaylen Brown Thread. As a way of minimizing JB threads.

We know that Tatum can play with ANY 4 Bench players.
Brown however, needs an additional Starter & Ballhander.

2nd POLL
There are now 4 Options of 10 Total choices. (5 options were in the 1st Poll.)

Celtics Roster, 2nd Half, 2023-24:
Starters: Holiday - White - Brown - Tatum - Porzingis
Rotation: Pritchard - Hauser - Horford - Kornet
Reserves: Springer - Mykhailiuk - Brissett - Tillman
Two-Ways: Davison - (Walsh ®) - Peterson - [Queta]

The other starters + Horford.

Tatum can carry a bench lineup with Pritchard, Hauser, Svi/Brissett/Stevens, and Kornet.

Zinger, Jrue or White, Horford and Hauser. I don't like the PP/Brown pairing at all so while there are many reasons to have one of Jrue or White the avoidance of PP with Brown is my biggest reason.

A JB-led unit must have White and Jrue.

There's no way around it.

That way JB will be forced to dribble less.

One should suffice.

Split the starters into backup units as:

-- Tatum/White
-- Porzingis/Brown/Holiday

That way there's one great defensive guard at all times. And Brown plays with two strong passers.

He's just too stubborn, he thinks he has no weakness.

During the 1st Tatum sub out when the other teams best players often stay in, C's need to keep Porzingis in with either White or Holiday. Later in the game I would focus on ball handling and having White & Holiday on the floor with him.

I like him with Kristaps. A poor passer needs to play with a big target. The best passes he has made this year were to KP imo.

I’m going with something like White, Jaylen, Hauser, Horf and KP.

Agreed. Payton Pritchard and Jaylen Brown don't mix. It's got to be Jrue or White, and at least one Big = Horford/Porzingis.
After that, Jaylen may need a mix of shooters and a PF.

Jaylen Brown lineups have played only 14 possessions without at least one of Jrue or White. These lineups would be -61.5 for the 0th percentile.
Jaylen Brown + Jrue (no Tatum or White) lineups have played 66 possessions and would be -24.5, which is still good for the 0th percentile.
Jaylen Brown + White (no Tatum or Jrue) have played 43 possessions and would be -7.6 for the 22nd percentile.
Jrue and White (no Tatum or Brown) have played only 5 possessions together but it appears that they would be well positioned at the 100th percnetile for +/-, with +40.

Basically we are trying to figure out how to survive having Jaylen Brown on the team.

Tbf the non-White/Holiday minutes have also all had your buddy PP stinking up the offense with his bricks.

I’d avoid Pritchard being out there with him, for one.

They are clearly trying to build chemistry with KP and Jaylen, so he’s going to be out there for sure.

More fun with SSS. Tatum without any of the 4 starters is +68 (31 possessions). If you give him Jaylen Brown, the lineup's performance plummets to -35.4 (11 possessions).

Jaylen has only played 2 possessions without the other 4 starters. The results come out to -100.

All lineups is +16.2. All lineups minus Jaylen Brown is +34.6.

Kornet lineups = +15.2
Kornet without Tatum = -50
Kornet without Jaylen = +56.7

yeah I like their combo, Scal said something they also live in the same area or something?

I've been hating on much what JB is doing on the court btw, ugh.
