Celtics with another rest advantage game*. Grizzlies have a game tonight at San Antonio. They are already (very) undermanned.

Read on Twitter

Might as well not play against Smart and just wait until they have their full squad (Feb 4 @ TD Garden). (Healthy) team w/ the best record in the NBA vs. (depleted) team w/ the worst record in the NBA. This wouldn't be a fair fight. It's more like battling a koala than a grizzly. Win by 30+ or we frauds.

*Cs with rest disadvantage folllowing night against the Hornets. My guess Horford rests in this one w/ Memphis lacking bigs and Charlotte having an abundance of them.

Do they even have 5 players left on the roster to put on the court for sunday?

Think the question is do they have a viable PG if Rose is out? Morant/Smart are no’s.

If rose is out it’s Bane/Konchar at point, not even sure what other guards they even have.

My “Memphis is being slept on” is turning into one of my all time worst calls, seems like a good time for that post.

I think Gilyard is the PG

Tatum is 11-0 in his career against the Grizzlies. Keep the streak going.

Terrible job by the NBA forcing these courts on the players. I would sit Brown at least this game.

After ALL of our history of blowing games they never should have with the G League Timberwolves embarrassment the year before last,. This game has the same type of talent gap. We saw it last year against Orlando amongst others. No letdown, and plenty of time to see Queta and the rest of the bench.

With some of the leadership on the court between d white and Jrue, I feel we are not capable of playing down to our competition like in years past.

As far as having a groin injury. Unless you are one hundred percent no player should risk reaggravating it..

If jay brown feels he's at 95 percent he needs to sit.

Sit JB, sit KP and maybe Al too, why not. Don't need this game.

It's clear Celtics should have never traded Smart and Rob.

Would rest KP in either end of B2B. Whichever game Horford is playing in. Rest Brown next two. Bucks coming up. 3rd game in 4 nights coming off an extended road trip. I want that win more than the Grizz/Hornets (and we can win these without a full squad).

Every game counts, so saying we don't need this game is not very forward thinking. Team and Players should want to do everything they can to win every game.

However, with that being said, rest for the starters and the injured should be taken into account. Since Horford is going to sit out one of the next two, just sit Porzingis the one Horford plays in. This gives Kornet and hopefully Queta time on the court. Neither Memphis nor Charlotte has great big men, so we should be ok in that regard.

Brown should also take these next two off to make sure this isn't a lingering injury that he deals with long term. Stevens might even get some run during this time also. I mean, isn't this one of the reasons Brad went out and signed Stevens, Brissett, Svi and Banton?

So, sit Brown and Porzingis against Memphis and sit Brown and Horford against Charlotte. Then everyone should be available against the Bucks.
