NBA In-Season Tournament prize money
Win championship: $500,000 per player
Reach championship game: $200,000 per player
Reach semifinal game: $100,000 per player
Reach quarterfinal game: $50,000 per player

Each player on the tournament's winning team will receive $500,000, while the runners-up will get $200,000. The losing players of the semifinals each will earn $100,000, and the losing players of the quarterfinals will receive $50,000.

Just making it to the Quarterfinals guarantees $50,000.

But I'll settle for 20 pts for JT but another 50-pt win against the Pacers.

I was going to say that Indy will be motivated by the fact they lost to the Celtics by 51 points in the first meeting but the problem with that is the Pacers play zero defense and are last in the NBA in defensive efficiency.

If the Celtics are focused they should come away with an expected win.

Someone posted it, the coaches get money from a pool or something. Everybody gets paid.

I want to win this tournament so bad mainly just so the RealGM community can hate the Celtics even more.

I know some don't agree, but I went from "wait and see" to "this tournament kicks ass" pretty quickly lol. I like that good teams can be left out and a Cinderella style team can win it all. I think the scoring differential ruffles some feathers, but definitely adds intrigue to games that would otherwise be boring blowouts so I don't mind that either. Also, with some exceptions, I like the courts as a gimmick for these as well and don't care that most of you hate them lol. Although next year I want ours to be parquet up the middle with green on the outsides. Gold or white out of bounds lines...

Not that big of a deal and I know that's how it's been done since the beginning, but it just bothers me that "ties go to the team". Take for example the game vs. the Sixers. White and Horford were far and above better than the rest of the team, but they're nearly tied in the votes. Can't possibly "reward" the team for their underwhelming play with a VC vote. Flip a coin, throw darts, anything, but Horford and White need to get the VC and CP here.
