Can’t drop this one even though OKC has a legit team. Remain undefeated this year.

Okc is a tough team but more so they could load up on a bunch of good guys beyond what they have.

Chet seems super solid but I don’t think he can handle four playoff series as a rookie. They should at minimum bring in KO and prob some others but they’ll probably be stubborn.

The Celtics are beating this club tomorrow night and it may not even be close, for ye of little faith will not prevail in the end

#1 in FT shooting, #1 in 3-pt shooting, #1 in FG% from within 10-16 feet, #1 in drives/game. Top 5 in spot up, post up, isolation, and transition scoring efficiency. They can hurt you in so many ways. They play hard all the time. Have to contain SGA somehow and at the same time limit their movement/passing game. One of only 4 teams that's both top 10 in offense and defense.

Their one glaring weakness -- rebounding. Pound the glass. Free points can be had via putbacks.

This is one of the games I was most looking forward to coming into the season. There’s some better ones later on, but up until this point, this feels most like it could be a classic regular season game.

Tatum and Dort will be really fun, same for Jrue and SGA, and Jaylen Jalen, and Chet Zinger, and White taking Giddey to school, or 200 feet from school.

Plus the Bucks are playing great, so the Celtics better keep their act together, if they want the best record. Also avoid all dogs if Aaron Gordon invites you to his crib...

OKC is really good and has a lot of weapons. Same for us. I'm honestly surprised when either team loses a game.

Random: The Celtics starting five's PPG add up to 100.0 (rounded off) entering the new year.

Cs lead the NBA in starters scoring w/ 93.8 ppg. Also lead in FGAs/game. 7th in TS%.
Cs are last in bench scoring w/ 26.9 ppg. Also last in FGAs/game. (Oh, that's why!) 3rd in TS%.

I want this one bad. I am not convinced OKC are contenders but they have a "kill you" attitude that we don't. They're also streaking, and they've beaten ever contender so far except for us.

Some day I should probably choose a different song than this for a Celtics/Thunder game thread. But New Year's Day is not that day.

What’s most impressive about OKC is they still have 9264 picks to use over the next few seasons. Plenty of ammo to get another star to go with SGA and Chet
