Nice trade, Brad! Welcome Tillman!

He's not going to play much but will be good to have vs certain matchups and will provide injury insurance if KP or Horford get banged up and miss some time.
Gonna miss KP but he's no Georges Niang.

Let's face folks, Xavier Tillman is trash. Why waste two 2nd Round Picks on trash?

34 Games
41.9% Free Throw %
22.6% 3 Point %
46.9% 2 Point %
0.958 Points Per Shot (must blow some dunks). Championship Teams, at the TEAM LEVEL, typically average over 1.3 Points Per Shot.

On the bright side, in 20.6 mpg he averages

4.6 Rebounds
1.7 Assists
1.2 Steals
1 Block
0.9 Turnovers
1.8 Fouls

So, perhaps offers some defense. LIsted at 6' 7" and 25 years old.

Tillman is insurance and defense in the front court.

Im not in love with the trade, but its more than fine.

Let this kid learn from Horford, see what happens. Certainly gives a chance for Al to rest a bit more too.

His FG% and FT%, never great, are both way down this year.

Any known reason?

A different look the Kornet, Al, Porzingis. Low cost investment. Yet, I am not totally convinced that we aren't just better off to keep giving Queta the available minutes. Anyway a gritty defender and some injury insurance for our bigs are needs that now are addressed.

He doesn't move me much but to be fair Memphis in general has been a mess, and a player like Tillman might look better surrounded by talent. He has some playoff experience but i dont expect he cracks into our top 10.

Doesn't excite me, but I'm encouraged by how much other people seem to like the value for us.

Stevens and some distant 2nds isn't a big price to pay, but realistically isn't going to net you much either. If he simply serves as some insurance depth up front and/or a defensive big option to try out as an option for the toolchest, I'm good with it. Can't really expect much beyond that.

Welcome Xavier. I think you kinda suck but I hope you don't.
Also guys who refer to themselves as Sr. are just annoying. Like bro, no one's mistaking you for your toddler son.
