Celtics 3-pt shooting post-ASB has been wild. Look!

Image

May this carry over into the postseason. 'Cos I don't think we'll stop taking threes any time soon. And before playa_hater points out PP's end-of-clock heaves, he only took 3 during that span. He still wouldn't make 40% even if we removed those.

They're getting close to having B2B seasons with EIGHT players making 100+ threes in a season.

Image

Last season, it was Grant, Smart, and Brogdon instead of Jrue, KP, and Pritchard.

Besides -- didn't Pritchard make one of the heaves? :)

The breakout that I wonder about is Jrue's, at least corner 3s vs. everything else.

JT will not sit if he's healthy.

The Wizards played us tough last time with a 4 point Celtics victory in Boston and we were totally healthy. Certainly not a "must win" game but if the Celtics can continue to win these games, they can really set themselves up for resting their top 6 players.

Weren’t there recent studies that said load management is a crock of bull? If they’re nursing injuries, even minor ones, rest them. If they ask for the day off, rest them. If they fear their life or limb is in danger if they play against Corey Kispert, rest them. Otherwise, keep them in playoff form, both physically and basketbally.

Just in case anyone is taking this season for granted, usually when four starters are out you think, "Well, that's a loss." This team- "That's ok. They'll probably still win, and even if they don't they're so far ahead in the standings anyway."

The NBA claims that it's internal data and studies they commissioned say that load management doesn't result in less injuries across the board but it was inconclusive in either direction iirc. I'd have to reread it but i remember thinking at the time that they interpreted their results quite generously.

Either way, I think the most accurate statement atm would be "no one really knows"
