The C's have been far ahead of the rest of the east this year and I believe that even without KP they have the horses to get to the finals. It's an open question whether they can actually beat the Western contender, but I wouldn't rule it out.

They can win it all without Porzingis. But Jaylen Brown will have to play better or else be benched. The number of empty trips he generates is unacceptable. They will also need someone like Tillman or Queta to step in and play well in some key stretches.

I don't think Cs can beat Denver without Porzingis.

But Cs can definitely beat all east teams without KP.

Meh. Porzingis is not a good matchup against Jokic. You need someone like Tillman or Queta with some beef. The guys you have to stop are Murray and Porter.

KP is useful as roamer/weakside help. The way they played Timelord (Grant/Horford on Jokic).

Not to mention the 20 points per game that KP will give you.

KP may not be the ideal matchup for Jokic, but that doesn't mean the Cs are better off without KP against Denver.

LOL, no one said they were better off, just that they could beat Denver if others play well.

That I can agree with.

Maybe a game or two, but 4 games, unlikely.

It's about bringing Jokic out to defend the three though. He has to respect Zinger's shooting. Gotta make him work on defense so he's tired by 4th quarter. Also gives us spacing for our wings to attack lanes.
Luckily we have Al Horford who is about as good as it will get as far as guarding Jokic and making him come out to guard threes for spacing.
Jokic will simply destroy Queta and Tillman let's be real.

Jokic will destroy Queta, but not Tillman.

They can get to the finals... But even that I wouldn't bank on without KP there. They aren't winning it all without him.

Are you assuming that whoever we play in the Finals will be in near-perfect health?

I never assume injuries. Sure, if the other team is hobbled then yeah we can win.

You have a point.

The NBA is looking like the NFL when it comes to injury this season.

No team has gone unscathed from the injury bug this season.

The Celtics will go as far as they'll allow The White Destroyer, Derrick the Merciless to take them.

I strongly disagree, I think if you look at how much better we are as a team than when we went to the finals vs GSW- we are on a completely different level. Tatum is a facilitator now. Even without Porzingis, we are still a more talented + deeper team than anyone in the West. The Nuggets have the MVP, and he is an enormous challenge- but we have an MVP candidate and our starting 5 and7/8 man rotation is much stronger IMO. Combine that with Murray battling a pretty bad injury and we have a great shot with or without KP. Al Horford is basically the perfect Porzingis replacement in a Nuggets series and our front court of Jrue and White is the perfect combination to destroy Denvers sketchy front court performance this season. Yeah Murray's had some big shots and a big game the other night vs LA, but overall he's been nothing like last season- he's simply not healthy enough.
