Lee will complete the title run before moving on to turn Grant Williams into a franchise player.

Congrats Charles!

He seems to be taking over at a good time for Charlotte, new ownership, GM and a bright young star in Miller.

I'm glad he didn't go to the Lakers because he seems very competent.

Damn. One of the risks of great assistants I guess. Good hire for Hornets. Hope the GM doesn’t make to many stupid moves.

Any thoughts on possible replacements?

Congratulations Charles Lee!

Hopefully he has success in turning around that Charlotte franchise. I think with Steve Clifford in the front office, Charles Lee as head coach, Brandon Miller and LaMelo Ball they are off to a decent start.

Yup. And they have a top 5 pick this year (could be no. 1 pick) so nailing that pick will also be crucial for them.

Lamelo + Miller + top 5 pick could be a good core for them.

For me?

I would look at Pierce, Garnett or another former player.

Congrats to Charles Lee!!!
He's probably going to have to pull Double-Duty, since the Draft is coming up?

I'd elevate Sam Cassell, and then choose some others to fill the bottom tiers.

Ain't a chance in hell those two will ever want to coach

Good for him, seems like a good dude.

Is he taking Springer with him or no though?

Edit: wrong guy I'm an idiot lol.

Happy he’s staying around. He was very active on the sidelines, especially defensively on G1 against Cleveland I noticed specifically. Our bench got gutted before the playoffs last year, and having more veteran guys around Joe has been helpful I think.

Woj reported that Lee is staying on the Celtics staff through the end of the playoffs.

Then he will start working for the Hornets.

If there is a game 7 of the NBA finals, it would be a few days before the draft takes place. So there would be some time for Lee to give them his 2 cents on who he would want them to take. But I'm sure he is just going to trust the Hornets front office and scouting department to make the picks. That's their job..and his job is to coach.

Guess Cassell would be promoted to his position and we hire someone for Cassell's current role

Congrats to Lee and awesome that he's sticking around. Seems win-win as CHA will benefit from him getting even more playoff experience.
