This is so big. In 22’ we would have had full control if we won game 4. We lost, we let GS off the ropes and we went on to lose the next 2. If we win this one, it’s very likely we can come back to Boston for game 5 in a closeout situation. Going into Dallas HAVING to win one game to not fall down 3-1 would be a nightmare.

This is a must win IMO.

Going up 2-0, while simultaneously being beasts on the road, would be crushing for Dallas.

Feels like this team knows they need to up the intensity and not leave this game up for grabs like they did in 2022.

However, I'm mentally preparing myself for an incoming Scott Foster/Tony Brothers masterclass.

Priority number one and priority number 2 In my opinion is get tatum going.. early if possible.. Everything falls into place better when that happens..

Lively and PJ will shut anything down inside. Kyrie can't be stopped so he goes for 60. Luka stepback threes all day, another 60. Another easy Dallas win.

Massive, massive game. Go up 2-0 and I don't think anyone's beating this team 4 out of 5 games. I think Dallas will try to even up the 3pt battle so look for them to be much more trigger happy with the three while loosening up the paint to invite us inside to limit our 3s. Don't fall into that trap and get a repeat of G2 vs Heat and the Cavs. Keep making Luka work hard for everything

Already a must win for Dallas. Going down 0-2 against this Celtics team which is maybe the best road playoff team in recent memory is untenable.

They will bring everything they have for game 2.

Nice thing about game 1 is the C's didn't even have to get overworked. Tatum played 42 minutes but Jrue/White only played 35, Horford only played 30 and KP only went 20. There's three days between game 1 and 2 so everybody should still be fresh.

For the better or worse my gut feeling says dallas will try to employ a lot more zone..

Didn't seem to help Miami much when they tried it. I don't think it would help the Mavs much either. But we'll see.

Dallas doing something new at this point in time is risky.

They're just not a zone defense team.

Cs will just end up getting more open looks.

Tatum needs that 50 bomb I thought he'd have last night.

Someone needs to remind Jaylen that Devin Booker is better than him again. Preferably a player on Dallas.

Before getting beat he wasn't even in a defensive position. Almost standing straight up and down.
