No JB in his home state. Is it too much to ask to see some Springer on Trae (if he goes off early)?
Celtics get yet another team coming off a B2B while Cs rest in their hotel rooms. They'll be travelling too, though it's a short trip. Here's injury report of the Hawks for their game tonight:

Uhm.. we say no to trading the FMVP in his prime for a nice young player on the rise.
We spent a few years cobbling together trade packages for Jaylen with ATL, but has that ship sailed so far that it's come all the way back around the world or something?
I trade Jaylen for Giannis. That's about it.
And I believe that our second apron status makes all of this discussion moot.

Dyson Daniels played in their game vs. the Pelicans. Okongwu did not. Zeller, Bufkin, and Bogdanovic also OUT. Tight game at the half. Hoping for 10 overtime periods in New Orleans.

Cs can theoretically receive Giannis in a trade since he makes less than JB but since Bucks are also above the 2nd apron, they can't take on JB's salary. A third team would have to be involved. Next season, it's the opposite.

Celtics do well without Jaylen in the lineup and will continue to do so...

Hawks won easily vs. the Pelicans, who were without Zion, Murray, and McCollum. Jalen Johnson (29/8/9) and Trae (23/12) led them in the W.

Useless Stat: The Celtics have led by 17+ at some point in all of their wins. Their biggest lead in their lone loss (IND) is 2 points.

Among East opponents, JT's highest career scoring average comes against the Hornets (27.2 ppg). The second highest? Against the Hawks (25.0).

JT, last 5 games: 28.1% 3FG% on 11.4 3FGA/gm
JB, last 5 games: 19.4% 3FG% on 7.2 3FGA/gm
Once their 3-ball starts to fall, watch out, we'll be super duper undefeated to the max.

Hawks were one of the few teams to beat us twice last season and the home team won all the games. So this could be a tough one but hopefully not.

I'm glad Steph seems to be on track to play against us in a couple days. Dubs fans are all excited about their good start but I feel like they're getting some of these wins largely because opposing teams are thinking it's easy to beat the Warriors without Curry. With all the narratives around that game I certainly don't want us coming out flat.

Cs owe the Hawks some payback in ATL first. I know he's no longer with the team, but how many shots did Dejaunte put up last time? 45? Bogdanovic was cooking too (maybe in the first game more than the second) (yes I'm talking about April games that didn't matter at all -- except they did:)
Game 1 -- Cs blow a 30 point lead, lose by 2, Bogdanovic, Hunter, and Bruno Fernando(!) go off:

The only player that scares me a little on the Hawks is Bogdanovic and he is out. I'm expecting just another routine win.

- Celtics are winning this game -- they never lose without Jaylen -- and sending the Hawks back to mediocrity ville...
- Brown would be helpful against the Warriors, since Tatum tends to turtle against them, but you can't have everything...
- Let the PP flow, Joe, let the PP flow...
- Hopefully Walsh can actually do something positive in this game. Other than those two 3-pointers, somewhat of a no show this
season...
- King Kornet will yet rule another day...

Annoying that even Al is calling it a putback. It was clearly an entry pass by White, who was not credited for the assist.
