If we want to advance in the Cup thing it would be a good idea to stomp these dudes and run up the score. Point differential is a big part of tie breakers for who wins the group and wildcard.

Celtics had three 50+ point wins last season. We haven't had one this season. It would be 265 days since we last won by 50+ points. We are due.

DID YOU KNOW?! Last night, Celtics became just the third team who's made 20+ threes in three consecutive games. They are now 35-2 when making at least 20 threes in a game in Mazzulla era. Only losses -- 2OT to the Knicks and 1-pt loss in Utah where Tatum scored just 15 pts.

It may feel hopeless now that we are 3 games back from the juggernaut Cavs for the 1st seed, but all it would take is for the Celtics to sweep the rest of the regular season to overtake them.

Cup-wise - I think we're mostly screwed if ATL beats CHI. Most likely:

- CLE beats ATL. All 3 of us end up 3-1 with losses to each other.
- CLE probably wins our group due to biggest point differential. They're above us now, and assumedly will beat ATL & esp WAS handily enough that we can't catch them.


So, CLE wins the group. Then ATL beats us on the tiebreaker due to head to head.
That feels the most likely at this point.

Our point differential after 2 games sucks. But, we have (less likely) paths:

Group winner options:
1) ATL loses out to CHI and CLE. We win since we beat CLE head to head.
OR
2) ATL beats CHI and ATL/CLE is really close win for CLE and we REEEEALLLLLYYYY running up the score on WAS/CHI. Head to head is tossed since we all beat one of the other 2. So, point differential takes the group.


Wildcard option
ATL wins the group and we're tied with CLE who we beat head to head.
We REEEEALLLLLYYYY run up the score on WAS/CHI to beat the 2nd place team from other groups.

The email I got from NBA.com says our White House visit will be on NBATV and the NBA app at 4:30 pm ET today.

Is it too much to ask that Boston handles things early on so players like Walsh get some valuable PT a well as still valuable (in my eyes) X Tillman. If Scheierman is available him as well.

Bench groupings not as strong this year. Just an example... our starters pounded the Cavs starters only to lose the lead when PP/Q/Sam came in both halves. We were blowing out teams last season 'cos starters AND JT-led bench were dominant. Hauser getting his shot back would go a long way.

I'm with you. I'm also just here for another historic net rating season. So they better get their acts together.

No Svi, no Scheierman, no Watson. Last two absences understandable.

INJURY REPORT: Everyone on the Cs available for this game apart from our two-way sons and ex-Wizard Kristaps Porzingis.

Celtics have won 9 of the last 10 against the Wizards. Jordan Poole hasn't won vs. the Celtics since beating them in the Finals.

EDIT: Vukcevic and Bey are OUT, Marvin Bagley is QUESTIONABLE for the Wizards.
