C's will show the Cavs how a championship team doesn't lose 3 games in a row.

We're only a half-game back of Cleveland now so this game is for 1st in the East (and league).

Celtics have shown the ability to flip the switch for big games early on in the season. Hope White can play in this one, he’s key to keeping Garland in check who appears to have a mental block when it comes to playing Boston. If Mitchell stands on his head then we got a ballgame, otherwise I could see the Celtics laying a whooping on the Cavs yet again

Porzingis and Horford were always going to split the back to backs. Holiday and White though...

If the injuries to White and Holiday are real, I’d be content winning 4 in this 5 games in 7 days stretch.

If White and Holiday are out, the obvious solution is to play Lonnie Walker. If that can't be done, here are a few alternate plans:
Play Walsh between some and some more.
Also, play Brown in the backcourt along with extra Pritchard. Hauser and Tatum also slip in there for a few minutes. The flipside of this is to play a ton of double big- with the activated one of Porzingis/Horford, plus Kornet, Queta and Tillman.
That makes a 9 man rotation.

We're thin at PG. Pritchard can handle the Start, but there's no Depth after him.
I'm not convinced that Davison can play at the NBA-level. Lonnie Walker would have been a great fit.
I guess that we have to recall some of the Maine Squad, nevertheless.
They're playing today (Saturday).

INJURY REPORT: Max Strus, Dean Wade, and Cavs two-ways are OUT for CLE.
So from last meeting, Cavs get Celtics killer Caris LeVert and wing defender Isaac Okoro back while Cs get Porzingis back with the possibility of no Horford, Holiday, and White. But if I had to guess only Holiday and Horford are OUT only to play against the Heat next day.
Last 3 regular season meetings in Cleveland were close, all Celtics losses -- two went to OT and another decided by one point.

Scheierman and Peterson are not with Maine tonight, lending a bit more credibility to the big Celtics injury report.

Yeah. Both those guys can walk the ball over the timeline. Peterson played PG for a long stretch last season.

Might be a good time to try out the KP-Q frontcourt with a quick hook for Q if things don't go well to start the game.
Pritchard | Brown | Tatum | Porzingis | Queta
Springer | Walsh | Hauser | Kornet/Tillman
Tatum can be the point forward in the non-PP minutes. I do think one of Holiday/White plays. We would've heard by now if White is in for an extended rest/evaluation. Might just be a case of letting the soreness/pain go down from last game and load management due to the wild schedule this week.

I like this Lineup, except for Springer. He hasn't played enough, to know if he can PG the Game.
Probably why we have Peterson and Scheierman with the Boston Club.
Also, this is a Back-to-Back. So, whatever Injuries we're dealing with, are a bit compounded.
We may have a few players doing one Night of the B2B's?

Alternate Holiday & White on the Back-to-Back, same as Porzingis & Horford.
Queta Starting may be a Good idea. If that doesn't work, then go with Hauser, or even Kornet.
1st Night
Celtics Proposed Roster, 2024-25:
Starters: Holiday - Brown - Tatum - Queta - Porzingis
Rotation: Pritchard - Hauser - Walsh - Tillman - Kornet
Reserves: Springer - Scheierman
Two-Ways: Peterson
2nd Night
Celtics Proposed Roster, 2024-25:
Starters: White - Brown - Tatum - Horford - Queta
Rotation: Pritchard - Hauser - Walsh - Tillman - Kornet
Reserves: Springer - Scheierman
Two-Ways: Peterson

Springer is not a PG on offense, just on defense. He'll be great hounding either Mitchell or Garland. Even 10-12 minutes from him would be helpful (unless he's not). Why I specified Tatum as the point forward in non-PP minutes. I like Peterson but he's spent even less time with the big club. Springer's at least always there in practices and should be familiar with their defensive schemes and the stuff they run on offense.
Just a side-note: I've never seen such dislike for a Celtics player who hasn't even seen real minutes yet. He's never really had the chance since White and PP are always playing. Garbage time doesn't count imo. If BOTH Holiday and White can't go and Springer still doesn't see the floor, you guys can wave the red flag.

I Never liked Springer, from the Start. I didn't like him Before he came here.
I'm even more upset that we have Springer, and Not Lonnie Walker. That does not compute.
But to your point, Springer has had plenty of time to make his way. This is 2nd Year here. You don't just "get" a chance.
You gotta
Take it. -- Queta and Walsh came up. Hauser and Kornet before that. Pritchard. White even played in the G League.
So, there's something about Springer, that he hasn't gotten more playing time.
It ain't us, it's him.

Joe doesn't play 12 guys. Doesn't even play 10. Springer won't take away minutes from Holiday, White, and PP. That's just silly.
