Cold Shooting Celts Can't Warm Up The Hawk Noodle Soup! Loss vs ATL 1/18

Post#1 » by bisme37 » Sun Jan 19, 2025 2:53 am

Bleeping bleep you guys I thought we were going to win that bleeping thing what the bleep!

I was ready to make a big victory thread after the 1st quarter lol. C's came out with great energy and hustle, generated a ton of steals and deflections, and super funtimes were in full effect.

Unfortunately the lights stayed on at the Garden and the game continued, and a nightmare shooting 2nd quarter deflated the team and fans alike. Missed shots from outside, inside and everywhere in between.

So we had to fight back and grind out a win, and it looked like we had the game narrowly won at the end of the 4th. But assorted weirdness happened, from both the refs and (mainly) the Celts, and it went to OT.

Then we lost. Barf you guys!

MLK game vs Warriors Monday, Go C's!

They had quite a few chances to win this game.

Sky is not falling but that was a choke job!

Seriously a contender for worst coached Cs game of the season. Tight rotation on B2B with guys exhausted, 3pt math fail, and horrible late game execution in every way: turnovers, fouling, no play or no execution to end regulation…. Bad one, oh well. It’s only one game. But this one reminds of 2023 Celts!

On to the next!

Can’t believe some people actually think Queta should play.

Blame one player, blame everyone. It really doesn't matter.. My biggest theme this year was brad needs to do something..anything..

This is way more than boston will just turn on the switch in the playoffs..

There should be a legit concern with the style of ball they are playing.. Combined with a lack of defense overall.

Do nothing don't expect a change.

Whole team did stupid things but Jrue was flat out awful in the clutch and basically threw the game

Seems this entire team from POBO Brad to the end of the bench guys have checked out mentally after winning the chip. No sense of urgency like last year. No hunger.

Yup!

I don't know why an 89% FT shooter would give up the ball to a 76% FT shooter.

It would have been much easier if Jrue just scored as he was open on that play.

Boston may not even get out of the first round. I think they will end up losing to Detroit, Miami Atlanta Indiana or whatever team is the sixth or seventh seed.

This team just has such a bad basketball IQ. Instead of holiday, taking a layup ending the game by putting them up by five he decides to do what?

I love Tatum, but he’s the last guy I want with the ball in his hands with the game on the line. If he’s not missing free throws, he’s taking some stupid 25 foot fall away that doesn’t even come close.

I like Queta but how can Xavier Tillman — WHO PLAYED FINALS MINS— be unable to get any run in a game like this! Plus no Walsh minutes. Last year Svi and Oshae woulda combine for 17 in a game like this!

I mean they smoked Orlando last night.

They were garbage today but I’m chalking this one down to it being a back to back.

There were some awful mental errors and some horrific shooting.

I wouldn't go that far.

You really think the Celtics would sit both Al and KP in a playoff game just for rest.

This is on the Celtics prioritizing rest instead of a regular season win.

Luke will not get more than 10 minutes of playing time if both Al and KP are healthy.

And no way Q will even play in the playoffs.

The foul up two was even worse.

Wondering if tonight's theme song should be "Taps", the tune they play at military funerals.

JB was taken out of the last few minutes after his head crashed into the floor.

Joe didn't create any plays with alternatives after the Hawks kept double teaming Tatum as they anticipated he would take the last shot. That's poor planning by Joe. DUMB. REALLY DUMB for a HC to blow those 2X on the same night. F-. A Clear failure by Joey.

Celtics shot like Sh*t. And couldn't even grab a rebound after 2 misses by the Hawks. It was Fugly.
