Celts Celebrate Not Getting Traded, Take The Night Off! Loss vs DAL 2/6

Boo hiss you guys I demand my money be refunded in its entirety!

Celts starters were super sloppy with the ball, gave up a ton of transition points and watched 92 year old Klay Thompson be the best player on the court for much of the game. We did have moments where we showed some life and threatened a comeback, but then freakin Exum or Dinwiddie would hit a crazy 3 and we sucked again lol. Unpleasant!

But hey the Pritchard/Hauser/Walsh/Peterson/Queta lineup was awesome in the 4th! A few more minutes on the clock and they may have won the dang thing lol. And we just signed Torrey Craig which is pretty cool I guess! And you all are quite good looking I must say!

Knicks Saturday, Go C's!

I think the thing that summed up the stupidity of the team over the last month or so were these two moments.

Someone got a steal and threw it to Tatum who should have easily finished or lobbed it to Brown for an easy slam. Instead Tatum screwed the lob and Brown almost lost it out of bounds and that possession ended empty.

The second was when we started to make a little run and Porzingis pulled up from damn near half court for a 3 with zero players ahead of him and missed.

They are playing some ridiculous dumb mistake ridden basketball on some nights currently.

So frustrating considering how good they looked against the Cavs on the road

JT probably isn't making 1st team all-NBA this year. And rightfully so. It's getting rarer and rarer to see him actually perform like a superstar these days.

My high school coach would’ve made us run line drills at halftime for that “defense”

Ugly loss, defense was non existent and we looked
Soft as heck. Roster needs a tweak with a few buyout vet additions IMO. Hauser has been trash for far too long now.

First time in years that I stopped watching a game disgusted. I made it to the 6 minute mark on the 2nd quarter, then switched to something less offensive.

Tatum goes 5-12 for 17 points against a short handed Mavs team.

Brown had 25 but had complete tunnel vision all game and had more turnovers than assists.

Oh but we better blame the third string center for how garbage we looked.

Please

I was busy for a bit. Saw the score in the first as soon as I had a chance to finally turn it on and instantly knew given they were ahead a bit and short handed it was going to be one of those games again.

It’s just way too obvious with this team.

Can they please start being serious and blow the crap out of some of these short handed teams?

How about blaming the 5 starters that didn’t show up to play?

I’ll say it again, they are bored and taking every teams best shot while thinking they can just rock up and win.

Great that they got benched, will be interesting how they take that with the Knicks next, but far from actually worried at all.

Shame on me for thinking they may have decided to get their shiz together over the last couple of games.

Tough loss
Just bad defense, low energy
Horrible coaching riding Luke Kornet tonight
Joe, put a guy in off the bench to shift the energy!
For all our talent, we are so predictable and stagnant on off nights
The 86 Celts were 50 wins and 1 loss in the Garden (inc playoffs)
Joe has to play some other guys, run a full court trap, etc play Walsh, play Queta, play energy!

There been 8-10 Mazzulla games this year where it feels like we have to overcome Joe’s clueless ingame management to have a chance

Man, I was lookin forward to this game! And then we’re just walking up the court, letting Mavs guys walk into looks guys getting hot, just … Coach the game, JOE! Reward your fans for coming all the way to the arena on a work night in the cold!!!

I get suspended for 30 days for calling out the posters that blame Joe for everything & then one of those posters blames Joe for Tatum & Brown’s careless first quarter.

Go figure.

If doing less with more gets you a title than Joe is definitely our coach...

Being guarded and stopped by Kyrie, who is shorter by a head
He needs to get the ball down low and operate from there. This is on him and the coach

The one time he actually did this resulted in s Kyrie foul

We'll be tied in the loss column with the Knicks if we lose Saturday.

great thread title, BTW

when the whole team doesn’t show up, you can’t JUST blame the coach

Knew it was trouble from the jump

Another time he did this, Kyrie stripped him
Played like a bitch tonight and that’s not on his coach

He is who he is at this point. The 4th-6th best player in the league at his best, who can go months long stretches of looking like a fringe top 20 player. Just disappointed that I had false hope he was making the leap early in the season.
