Celts Shred Old-Timey Pants, Even Goodwill Doesn't Want Them! Victory Cigar vs NYK 2/23

Post#1 » by bisme37 » Sun Feb 23, 2025 8:21 pm

Hey neato you guys we destroyed the Knickerbockers once again and won the hell out of the big game!

Jays T and B! (JT near triple-double again and JB was huge in the 4th!) KP two-way monster! Jrue! DERRICK WHITE! Al! Payton! Sam! LUKE! ALL THE CELTICS!!

The Knicks are off to their best start in 20+ years but clearly have very little for us lol. They can't guard us at all, and play very frantically on offense like they want to win so badly but already know it's not happening and think the faster they play, the faster their pain will be over. They collected themselves and had a great 3rd quarter, but then ran out of juice and it was a Celtics romp again. Also: the refs were lame. Additionally: Celtics baby!!

Raps Tuesday, Go C's!

Should have won this game going into the fourth. Either way keep it rolling.

Pretty lame that Bridges took those final two shots after the gentlemen C's let the clock run out twice.

The Knicks are a non-entity.

If we ignore 3 QT then this wasnt close on both ends of the court.
Knicks cant guard our starting lineup as 5 out. Its just bloodbath for them. They have 2 guys who we attack all the time or simply they dont rotate.

The first quarter was the one that counted. The rest of the game was just garbage time.

I liked the way we responded after the lackluster 3rd q and Knicks run
White and JB responded well. Jrue also had a good game, especially defensively
Bench wasn't that good today (except Al)

It’s a make or miss league.

They started hitting a couple of tough shots and we missed some gimmies. That bench lineup that came in was rough

We turned the ball over a bunch and gave up transition layups

True but Brunson also started making a couple of tough contested threes which really helped with the run

The Knicks are great against bad teams, and bad against great teams.

New York is now closer to Indiana for the fourth seed than they are to Boston for the second. The battle for the two spot is all but over. The Celtics have the 3rd easiest remaining schedule; NY has the 12th hardest; Indy the 21st hardest.

Today's game:

White and Holiday were super efficient on offense, and mega-pesky on D.

Brown had a tremendous second half after struggling in the first. He led the big surge that put the game away.

Tatum filled up the box score.

Zingis and Horford played some very good defense.

Torrey Craig did not play, but will in the future.

Here's a video of Luke Kornet draining 7 threes in a game. The Knicks should have kept this guy.

Won against Knicks and Brothers, it’s like a double win.

I realized the thread title might make no sense to some of our international fans haha.

Knickerbockers are stupid looking pants from like 100 years ago. And Goodwill is a thrift store.

Not that it's all that hilarious or anything but wanted to clarify lol.

As far as the game, the other team is going to make a run. We dominated them overall and I never felt like we were losing this one.
