Small-Ball Celts Still Too Big For The Raps! Victory Cigar vs TOR 2/25

Post#1 » by bisme37 » Wed Feb 26, 2025 2:19 am

Omg you guys we defeated all of Canadia and won the super mega big game this is incredible!

Derrick White (!!) and Jay and other Jay and Payton and TEAM!

No KP, Jrue, Al or Luke tonight. We had a lot of lineups out there that had never played together, JT was our tallest starter, and it looked like summer league at times haha... but we whooped that dino butt and got out of there with the win!

I had a bunch of cool highlights but I closed the wrong tab a minute ago and lost it sorry!

Pistons tomorrow, Go C's!

Raps fans smashed the piggy bank to watch the amazing Celtics up close. Instead they got the G League All Stars with Special Guest Jayson Tatum.

Plus they lost.

I’ll give it to Tatum for holding it down as center

The fans deserve the Cigar to watch that awful boring game. It's great to see us win 6 in a row and some role/bench players get quality minutes but that game UGH was truly a grind to watch

Hoping all is well with Luke Kornet who missed tonight with personal reasons.

I thought this was a great change-up Joe Mazzulla game:

Found a rest for White/PP with 4 JD minutes… he would not have gone to Davison last year
Strategic use of Queta as the lone big, starting Torrey Craig
Two key possessions down the stretch went away from high screen to hit JB in post at the elbow (Sam couldn’t get Brown the ball)
Inbounds play rolling Queta to the rim with 2 sec on the shot clock for the well-executed lob

This was a change up game, missing guys left and right, and Mazzulla coached maybe, mighta been the most experimental game since he’s been the coach of the Celts… even Baylor looked okay at points in the second half

I liked what Joe did tonight!!! Curveballs all over the place

And JT with ANOTHER double digit assist game

It's "Luke Kornet for 3rd Team All-NBA" campaign ad.

Looks like they finally figured it out. They might get to 50 before 20 loses.

I thought I noticed that Brown got hurt. Hopefully he'll be a go tomorrow night.

Jared Weiss
Joe Mazzulla says he found out Kristaps Porziņģis was out sick a minute before the game.

“He wasn’t feeling well and we wanted to make sure he’s ready for tomorrow.”

Joe said he took Jaylen Brown out for the final minutes because he was hobbling due to some leg tweaks he suffered during the game.

Boston Celtics have won 10 of 11 with Scheierman barely playing.
Maine Celtics have won 9 of 10 with Scheierman barely playing.

"Are the Celtics really better without Baylor Scheierman??"

Real ones watched every minute of that!
Voted White and Pritchard, as much for their defense as for hitting clutch shots (DW is so damn money in the 4th, and Payton’s 2-for-1 to end the 3rd was masterful).

Tatum great first half then screen saver mode

Jaylen thank you for driving the ball instead of jacking 3s but — that handle —

Torrey Craig saving his 3ptFGM for a bigger night

Sam: PIVOT AND MAKE THAT ENTRY PASS

JD actually got some real minutes(!) and dribbles out the clock going nowhere. I don’t mean at the end of the game. I mean with 3 minutes left in the 3rd quarter he takes 14 seconds to get the ball to Tatum.

Scheierman’s size, strength, and mobility are giving me some good feelings but maybe that’s TMI.

Queta was pretty solid, I thought.

Good job JOE getting a variety of guys real minutes, and using at least three timeouts to save possessions and/or set up a beautiful lob to Queta that one poster totally called in the GT!

10 wins in last 11? Keep that **** rolling. Get up for a test in Detroit tomorrow!

I voted Brown.

But Pritch, White and Tatum are right there with him.

White was superb in this game.
