Does Sam Cassell stay with the Celtics Next Season, or is he a Head Coach, elsewhere?

Simple Question: Is Sam Cassell with the Celtics next Season?
Cassell has 4 rings, and should have been a Head Coach a long time ago.
But, will he take a Head Coaching job elsewhere?
Or will he stay with the Celtics, as the #2 Man?

I hope he stays on since we haven't seen much continuity with our coaching staff during Brad's tenure as GM, but I'm always for upward motion for these guys. If there's an opening, he should try and grab it.
Semi-related: I hope they hire an offensive coordinator of some sort and introduce new things for our offense though I've always thought offense is largely dependent on the top-tier players and what they're able to do.
Also semi-related: Brad and Joe could be up for extensions.

I hope he sticks around, but someone has to take a chance on him this off season. It feels inevitable.

From what I see, Sam stays around for a few years with each coaching stop. He's been perfect for Joe, the roster may very well stay relatively the same and he's pretty much the associate HC.
One more year and there may be a few more openings after next season.

Budenholzer, Malone, Jenkins, Brown all fired. Willie Green is probably on the way out and Doc Rivers ought to be on his way out. There will be plenty of job openings for the 2025-26 season.

Yeah I would think Cassell would get one of those jobs.
Then maybe we hire Justin Tatum to be an assistant.

Semi-OT: Chris Forsberg pointed out in his article that both Cassell and Horford have experience in repeating as champions. Sam with his time in Houston and Horford with his NCAA titles.

I'd like to see Michael Malone is a special consultant or something, like the job JVG had for a year.

I'm down with that.
He seems like a guy who:
-Very passionate
-Knows the game of basketball
-Championship experience
-In particular knows offense and built an offense in Denver that was really impressive, how they didn't rely on 3's but they used a significant amount of ball movement, player movement to create lots of high quality shots..some 3's but LOTS of easy layups from cuts, from back screens, etc. Obviously it helps to have Jokic perhaps he can brings some of that here..
-Plus, motivated to show he is still a good basketball mind and still can contribute towards an NBA team winning..to prove the doubters wrong, to prove the nuggets were wrong to fire him
However, I'm guessing he probably ends up landing another HC gig somewhere. Maybe Phoenix?

Do you know for sure? I really hope he stays, but as stated above I feel like he's too good for someone not to give him a shot. And the options are good teams.

I was trying to find a connection between Malone and Stevens/Boston. Sometimes you just regret using the internet lol.
https://www.wattpad.com/amp/1044872942Anyway, it says on his wiki page that he played for Worcester Academy in high school. His father was the head coach of University of Rhode Island and Mike was an assistant for Providence College. So there's
some New England roots.

No, I just like to express my opinions as if they are fact

Sam doesn't owe us anything, and wants that HC job. I would bet he's done a lot here to stabilize Joe in the HC role, and infuse his championship DNA into our organization, so I'm going to expect him to get hired -- maybe even before the Cs finish repeating as champions? (if that's the timing, we'll all complain about it for a day or two -- why would he LEAVE us, and why NOW? -- and then move on)

I don't see how he stays. Sam has to be considered a huge up and coming Head coach. He was a former player and Champion as a player and coach. He should be able to relate well to current NBA players as well as on the side of coaching. I just don't see how he doesn't uphold higher than normal respect by his players, all while really understanding the game.
I really think he may be a top choice amongst quite a few teams.
