I want them stomped in this game. 25 point win, wire to wire.
Deflate them, make their mothers cry.

I want this series to end ASAP, and this is the game Magic are most likely to win if they are going to take one. I want our guys to have as much rest as possible, and as much days to watch tape and prepare.
Everyone has nagging injuries, but ORL we all knew were going to play tough given they have big wings, and they are young so they think playing hard means fouling more/harder. I just want this series to end so we don't have to worry nearly as much. NYK if they make it are a much softer team outside of Hart, and I think that series even if more competative would be much easier on our guys.
Celtic's need to continue abusing Corey Joseph as their main PG, and Goga needs to get played off the court. They are getting nothing from their bench, and that's how it should be. KCP is also a scrub this year, and really has no role in this series.
I expect their role players to play better, but still, those 3 guys just mentioned should continue to be weak spots and why certain Celtics are going off.
Also, this is the series I would like to see Craig get some minutes. I feel like thats why we traded for him, in matchups where Sam isn't really effective and getting picked on by bigger wings like Franz and Paolo, see if Craig can come in an hold his own and make a shot or two.

expect to get the best effort yet, from the Magic..... Quick turnaround from game 2, hopefully JT is ready as our floor spacing was terrible. Beat them Fri night and it's CANCUN ON 3!

A better question is what should Boston do in regard to Tatum? Fair to assume his wrist still won't be 100%, but what if his wrist has improved somewhat? what If he wants to play? Is it better to try to win one more without him so he can heal? or is it risking a loss and hence extending the series?
I am thinking Boston's history on the road makes them a reasonable victor. But that has been with Tatum. Yet, Orlando may be the exception anyway. I really want this series over. Don't want to risk "having to win game 4" *IF* Boston losses game 3.

Agree if it's Graig over Kornet. Hauser hasn't been used enough to be affective. But Kornet is just a bad matchup. He can't guard at all. Even his rebounding has becoming ineffective.

If Tatum plays, expect the Orlando Dirtbags to target that wrist. They'll whack and hack until that hand falls off, whether the referees call a foul or not.

I don't know to what level Brown's knee was during the game or if that is an injury that can inflame easy after a tough game. But Brown was so good at scoring. Between Brown's knee and Tatum's wrist, I really just want to get out of this series sooner than later. Want as much rest for the team as possible. Hopefully NYK and Detroit goes 6 or 7.

If it's just a pain tolerance thing then JT should play.
We don't want an extended series.

I'm whatever about who plays for the Celtics. They're the better team without EITHER Jay. If the series goes 5 or even 6, whatever, just win it without significant injury. And PLAY a guy like Kornet who apparently needs to get some playoff 'yips' out of his system -- we want him ready to be useful in subsequent rounds.
My question is: What is up with Cole Anthony? Is he going to make an appearance? Is he in the doghouse or considered a liability in this series?

From what I saw, the Celtic defense forced the Magic coach to not play Cole Anthony.

If we get a big game from Porzingis, we wont need Tatum to win this 1.

I normally think of him as the sort of guy that could go on a heater at home. And I'm partly expecting that in G3 and/or 4. But he played 10 minutes in G1 and 5 in G2 -- and I'm curious why. Especially without Suggs, and without scoring -- feels like something might be crossed up between him and the ORL coaching staff? Do they not want him taking possessions away from their forwards, especially against Jrue and/or White? As recently as the play-in game, he was big for them.

Two games in and two wins, some really nice moments and a couple concerns. Obviously, first is the injury concerns with JT wrist and JB knee. Second to injuries, we do seem just a little thin. Last year, situationally we played 11. The starters and then Al, PP, Sam, Luke, Tillman, Brissett. Last night Joe played 3 off the bench.
I think we need to see some Queta and Craig here and there. And also, with how much Baylor appreciated post-AllStar, I think he should be getting a few minutes here and there. Presently, Celtics coaching staff seem to have a bias against rookies and it wouldn't surprise me if Baylor doesn't play any competitive minutes this playoffs. I don't know where the concept that a rookie can NOT play at all in the playoffs came from, that they do a redshirt year and have a chance to play in year 2.
When Brad was the coach, of course rookie JT rookie JB played in the playoffs, of course bc they were #3 overall picks. But also Rozier (not a lottery pick) played 19 minutes per game in the playoffs as a rook. Semi Ojeleye (2nd round pick) played 13 minutes a game in the playoffs as a rookie. Rookie Grant Williams played 10 minutes per, including some BIG minutes, in the bubble playoff run.
Baylor Scheierman is gonna be 25 yrs this fall. He played big moments in NCAA ball at Creighton. I don't see why he wasn't moreso in the Celtics plans this year. And now with both JT/JB under injury duress, I think Scheierman needs to get a little run.

He is a liability defensively when switching and foul prone. Gave them nothing offensively, except playing fast

Pain tolerance with a wrist injury is a tricky thing. He may very well be at a point where he could tolerate the pain and play, but the pain is still bad enough that it might effect his ability to perform. If he can't dribble or shoot like he needs to with that wrist then its better he sits. Just the sort of thing where you need to trust the coaching staff and player to make the right decision. Given how few games he misses I'm sure he's pushing to play.
That said this is a big game, Celtics need to finish this team off as quickly as possible if for no other reaosn than it lowers the chances of these orlando maniacs injuring one of our guys.

Mazzulla shares update on Tatum's ‘severe' bone bruise ahead of Game 3"He's doing whatever he can."
"Yeah, there will definitely be a chance," Mazzulla said when asked about the possibility of Tatum playing in Game 3. "Again, he's dealing with a severe bone bruise. He's day-to-day, and he's progressively gotten a little bit better each day."
Mazzulla played coy Wednesday night when asked about Tatum, saying he had "no idea" when he found out the Celtics star wouldn't play in Game 2. He was a bit more forthcoming Thursday, however, revealing that Tatum made every effort to play before being ruled out shortly before tip-off.
"He went through all the protocols and did everything he could possibly do up until the last moment to try and play, and just wasn't able to do it," Mazzulla said. "But he'll go back at it again today, and he's in that day-to-day process right now.
"At the end of the day, I know he'll do whatever it takes to put himself in a position to play and put our team in position to win. It's just kind of who he is, and we're just trusting that."
"He's doing whatever he can, every minute of the 24 hours, to put him(self) in position to try and be out there on the court," Mazzulla said. "I trust his process. I trust his mindset, trust the people around him that helped put him in position, and that's all we can do."

I thought dealing with Trae would be more annoying than dealing with the Magic.........Extremely dumb take. I guess I don't pay enough attention to the magic because I had no idea how dirty they were until this series. Anyways, let's end this. Leave no doubt and win this game. Tatum or no Tatum.

Celtics are going to need KP to remain healthy, second year in a row that Luke has been a massive disappointment in the postseason
