Round 2 Issues

Copied & pasted from VC thread - merits discussion!
We want the Knicks or the Pistons?
How bad is Brunson hurt?
Cunningham is truly outstanding - that team is very frisky & hungry!
Thoughts?
In any case, I hope that series goes to a G7 on Sat w a quadruple OT
That would mean G1 R2 would be around Tues 5/6l
That would give the invaluable Jru another full week to heal up his hammy.

Just hoping it goes 7 so we can get healthy
Celtics played Knicks well this year obviously
Pistons are good but inexperienced and eventually a team like the Celtics takes over like we saw in the Magic series. Also think lack of a 2nd scorer will be an issue for them going forward, as good as Cade is

So?
Which?
Pistons?

I personally believe that either the Pistons or the Knicks will be a better matchup for the Celtics than the Magic.

Round 2 issue is health.
Cs just need to get healthy for round 3.

If it's the Knicks, KAT will be ineffective against Horford. So just make it tough on Brunson, but he will get his. They won't be able to defend us, with or without Robinson. This might be the series where KP goes off.
I prefer the Knicks over Pistons who can also be physical on defense but not as consistent as Orlando on that end. Neither should go beyond 6. It's more likely we finish again in 5. If Jrue needs it, I think he can take this series off too.

I mean Knicks cant guard us.They have small guards.KAT cant defend.
Dont know what to think of Detroit.Cade+ too many inconsistent shooters

I think I'd prefer New York. Sometimes it feels like young, upstart teams can give us troubles. That said, over a seven game series we just have too many weapons (see Magic, Orlando).

Let's just put it this way, Celtics will have less bruises if they face NY.

Would prefer Knicks. A Rivalry series we have not had for a while and should really slap them around.

I'm only speculating, I think Cs will get 5 days off.
Good for the bumps and bruises from the Orlando series.

Cs probably next play either Saturday or Monday.
I think this because the if-necessary DET/NYK Game 7 is listed on ESPN as being scheduled for Saturday.

I think the earliest Game 1s always start on Sundays.
Game 7s are usually on Sundays.
Maybe if NY wins Game 6 then Game 1 at Boston will be Sunday.

The only issue IMO will not be which team they play it will be if Jrue is still out.
He missed a week his last hammy injury and he played the entire 4th qtr game 2, so I'm hoping it was a little twinge and they're being overly cautious.

Agree!
JH's health is important if the Cs are to get Banner 19.

Well I am from NY so... Detroit
Honestly I feel either should be a 5 game series. But something about Detroit makes me a touch more nervous.

Regardless of which of these teams we dispatch in 5, they're going to say we had an easy path.
