I'm giving this article its own thread because it offers insight not just into Tatum, but into Embiid, Haliburton and others.
Note: The article cites Tatum as Hanlen's third client, with the first two having been Hanlen's high school and college teammates (Bradley Beal and David Lee).

I haven't read the article yet. But I have seen enough to have an opinion. He in one hand, is a GOAT level trainer. I can not deny that. But I do think some of the stuff he teaches makes Tatum do the Extra stuff that isn't necessary often. Dribble Dribble step side 3s are a Prime example of that.
There is no prize for coming so close Do something!

Re: Article on Drew Hanlen in The Athletic
He’s been on First to the Floor podcast multiple times, you can hear him talk for an hour. Seems like a good enough guy.
One thing he did say that stuck out was they just work on offense and that side of the ball, since defense is so team-centric.
He did tell a pretty good story about the scrimmages (talking about how the players are forced to do play tough one on one D matched up against each other) saying how Embiid got lit up by Chet Holmgren. Then he got on Embiid about it and Embiid went out and scored on Holmgren like ten times in a row and won the next match. Does sort of sum up Embiid in a nutshell though lol now you see it now you don’t
