The New Celtics 2026
Changing of the times the new era 2026 Celtics understanding business aspects of the NBA. New considerations indicate a new era for the Celtics. Brad Stevens is an excellent administrator and basketball guru. Patience is needed for the Celtics to renew the championship caliber team again. Injuries and salaries have caused change to the team. Let Brad Stevens do what is best and get the best deals possible and players that fit into Joe Mazzulla's system. Porzingis has been an enigma due to his history of injuries. Jrue Holiday is going into the autumn of his career. So as difficult as things have been for the organization now is a good time for change. The Celtics have a very good bench and young talent A for Brad. More work is required to fit the right players in this system. Remember Brad needs to do his homework and be due diligence that he has been known to do.

Brad and Wyc got a little carried away after their championship together. That Jrue contract was a headscratcher when they inked it.
Brad is getting the players to force Joe to run a better, more active system than he slid into.
Probably nothing beyond their not wanting to extend Joe's contract before the league approves the sale, but still an incentive for Joe to acquire a little more flexibility--and more appreciation for rookies!

I don't get a guy who never was a rookie has a problem with rookies. I understand many coaches never played professionally, but to come out and tell a professional athlete "I don't like rookies".

I think the league was almost as happy to have the Celtics sale be as high as it was as the Lakers.
Big time expansion fees means the Celtics title and the Luka trade were good for all of the owners.

And NBA league office meddling will continue apace.
