Friday, July 11: Celtics vs Grizzlies, 4 p.m. ET, NBA TV
Sunday, July 13: Celtics vs Knicks, 5:30 p.m. ET, NBA TV
Monday, July 14: Celtics vs Heat, 8 p.m. ET, ESPNU
Thursday, July 17: Celtics vs Lakers, 9 p.m. ET, ESPN
Sunday, July 20: Celtics vs. Atlanta Hawks, 6 p.m. ET (ESPNU)

The first four games will also be on NBC Sports Boston, but the Knicks game will air on that channel around 8 p.m. ET, after the Connecticut Sun play the Los Angeles Sparks.

It's time to unleash Hayden Gray. He just got a steal as I wrote that. Knock on wood, no jinx. I want him to get 3 or more steals in game 5.

I'm NOT in the Wall of Fame/Shame. Neither is stupid Zoya. They should give us an award for this.

1. In that video clip, four 3ptfg are attempted by Walsh, Norris, and Baylor. Three of them are swishes. Guess who clanks his? (spoiler: not Walsh)
2. I have thought about saying this in a more gentle way, but screw the end-of-the-bench SL guys. If you're not good enough to play in SL, thanks for being a SL practice body, and the Celtics and their viewers don't owe you anything. I want to see the best SL lineup and effort we can muster. Will that happen? I have no idea. I'm sure it's a thing to 'down shift' in game 5, because everyone is so soft these days. Softy softy soft soft. So: bring me Hayden Gray, and, uhm, Gregg? and the other guy. I could get behind Brown and Bridges getting a lot of touches, but IMO Amari Williams needs to be out there trying to do good things, and Max Shulga should be out there trying to hit a shot, and Hugo needs all the reps he can get against physical defenders before training camp so let's see it!
3. We won't see it. They'll give the SL bench guys a chance. Soft soft soft

Hey do we know if Bassey is done with the Celtics, or if he was just done with Summer League and could still end up on our roster?

I think the real question is, do they want to sign him and compete? Or maybe soft tank is really in. But there is no way he wouldn't be our 3rd. Best center.

afaik no one has reported anything to say he's done with the Celtics or vice versa -- just that he signed to play with their SL team for 3 games, and that once that was up he was gone

I personally think they should cut JD to sign him, unless (dream hat on) they are resigning Al after all, which I know is not happening:)

I figure anyone on the roster with a power agent has already been playing. Still, not to give 'em some time could make it harder to fill our their SL roster next year.

I don't see any of our rostered centers being clearly better than him. It's an open question as to where he'd fit in the pecking order. I wish we'd sign him, but I don't get the feeling that we will.

FWIW old friend Anton Watson with the Knicks has shot 41% from 3 through 5 SL games. Also 57% overall and 80% on FTs.

liked him a lot, at least conceptually, but he has maybe even less physical pop out there than Amari Williams
