"If" we beat Detroit, we could win 20 in a row.

We beat Memphis on Friday, then if we somehow beat Detroit at Detroit, our schedule is chock full creampuffs until a road trip to Orlando and Miami and then a home game against the Mavericks. While the record is 33 by the Lakers, 20 is 2nd all time and is possible if we can beat Detroit.
vs Memphis
Sat 05 @ Detroit
Wed 09 vs Charlotte
Fri 11 @ New Jersey
Sat 12 @ Washington
Mon 14 vs Washington
Wed 16 vs Portland
Fri 18 vs Philadelphia
Mon 21 @ New York
Wed 23 vs Toronto
Fri 25 vs Minnesota
Sun 27 @ Orlando
Tue 29 @ Miami
Thu 31 vs Dallas

That's a huge "if." Anyone can beat anyone in the NBA, and there's bound to be a game or two in there (or more) where supposedly bad teams put up a fight (see Charlotte earlier this year).
Two that stick out as such are the first game at Washington (back to back after a road game at NJ) and vs. Portland, one of the hottest teams in the league as of right now.

I'm actually a little sad still about those 3 losses.

The whole "tie ball game where we had the ball with 5 seconds left and still lost" game still gets to me. And Ray Allen missing two free throws.
This team can still get better and that's just crazy to me. Tony Allen getting confidence in the knee and the team gelling even more on offense are still areas where we can definitely improve. This is fun.

If we hadn't lost to Cleveland, Orlando, and Detroit we could've won 30 in a row.
We can play this game all day.
Personally even if we can beat Detroit, I don't think we'll have a 20 game winning streak. It's damn tough, especially since teams bring their all against us every night.

We can get at least a dozen in a row if we beat Detroit.

You'd be at 17 in a row right now if you would have beaten them last time.
Anyways, 20 in a row in extremely difficult and very unlikely for the Celtics.
Now that you're the "favorites" people will be giving you their best shots on a nightly basis. For lottery teams, beating you suddenly is like winning a championship. You're going to have a target on your back.
There will be nights when you play good solid basketball, but the other team and a player or players that just have career nights.
It happens no matter how good you are.

i agree that we have a bulls eye on our back when we play any team. remember the doubts everyone in the nba has when the celtics made the big 3 official last summer?

Sorry, but if the Celtics are playing good, solid basketball, there isn't a lottery team that is going to beat them, no matter who has a career night. Most nights, if the Celtics lose, they're gonna beat themselves. Unless they're playing top competition like Detriot, SAS, Phoenix, etc.
