OT - Heat/Hawks to replay final minute of Dec. 19th game

Fair? Also, the article states:

This isn't the first statistical problem to occur in Atlanta. On Nov. 24, 2006, the official scorer failed to credit Toronto's T.J. Ford with a basket that would have given the Raptors a late tie and an opportunity to change the outcome of a 97-93 loss.

...so why aren't they replaying that game? That seems more worthy of a replay than the foul.

EDIT: I just realized that second game was last season. D'oh!

Didn't even know that was possible. Good to know that satisfactory results can come from official errors.

This has got to be hell for fantasy league sites like Yahoo. How do you account for this?

They'll probably make believe it never happened.

So the teams are going to go all out of their way (well, the road team at least) just to play another minute?

Also, what if someone is injured for the replay? What if there was a player injured for the original game who is active for the second game?

It will be interesting to see, at least.

So they're going to re-play the final minute so Shaq can be there? Isn't Shaq always subbed during crunch time due to his awful FT shooting?

Wow, just saw it on the wiretap. That's crazy! It'll be very interesting though. I hope they televise it.

what if Shaq is traded to the hawks, Who would he play for? What about roster moves between now and then, Are those players eligible for either team?

And what about the gambling implications??? Will you be able to bet on this? How mad would you be if you had the Heat moneyline and lost a boatload of money on that???
