I am going with The Truth. He had a really solid line: 18/8/5/2/2

I am strangely satisfied with this rather ugly win.
For 15 years now I have watched the Celtic scrap and struggle in game after game only to have a better constructed opponent decide late in the contest that they did not want to actually lose. So they would suddenly pull themselves together and put the Celtics on the shelf.
From 1959 (when I started watching) until the end of the Bird/McHale era the shoe had been on the other foot....and now it is again.

KG gets the slight edge over Paul. If Ray is Jesus then KG is God.

Got to be Paul. When Pierce was on the court the Celtics out scored the Nets by 7 points. When KG was on the floor the Nets out scored the Celtics by 2 points.

Both are worthy of it, but
You have to take into account KG got his stats in less minutes and Paul got 5 turnovers.

I'm going with KG.
Second place = RA. I thought that Pierce's rebounds were key (we got killed on the boards), but RA's baskets in the 1rst and 4th quarters all seemed to be key buckets.
It was more of a team win than anything else. Nobody really stood out.

I agree with Rondo Fans comments about PP on the boards.
I voted for KG, though.
I thought that Ray Allen kept the team in the game with his 11 first quarter points.

I voted for Pierce, his defense was crazy, and was just super efficient overall.

Tough call between Pierce and KG....both played super defence down the stretch...
But I think KG was the difference maker down the stretch when we had that big run...
KG got the defencive boards when we needed em in the 4th quarter....Jersey was one and done...

This difficulty in choosing the best player is a good sign...hallmark of a team as oppose to a number of good/great players.

The decision for me was between Garnett and Pierce. Pierce's 5 turnovers made me choose Garnett. (In Pierce's defense, he played under the weather.)

I had to go with Pierce on this one.
His defense on Jefferson was great in the second half.

Plus his defense was incredible. I'm going with PP on this one too.

Came down to Pierce and Garnett for me, but Celtics were a minus 2 while he was on the floor, Pierce was a plus 7.
