Reality Check: Great teams do lose to not-so-great teams

I know, I know. Boston just lost two games to the Wiz on a back to back. Kudos to the Wizards, and particularly Caron Butler. We can go on and on about the Big 3 being silent in the 4th quarter, Rivers taking TA out, Rondo not being in the game, etc.
What we cannot do is judge this team based on a 2-game sample. Great (championship contending) teams lose games to teams they have no business losing to. In an 82-game season, it is bound to happen.
Maybe seeing some examples from this season will help us rest a bit better:
San Antonio losses:
Nov. 26, at Sacramento, 99-112
Dec. 19, at Memphis, 85-88
And two losses to Golden State.
Detroit losses:
Nov. 8, at Chicago, 93-97
Nov. 18, at Sacramento, 95-105
Jan. 13, at New York, 65-89.
Dallas losses:
Nov. 2, at Atlanta, 94-101
Nov. 23, at Indy, 107-111
Nov. 24, at Milwaukee, 95-97
Nov. 26, vs. Washington, 98-110
Jan. 14, at Sacramento, 120-122
Phoenix losses:
Nov. 7, at Atlanta, 96-105
Dec. 8, at Minnesota, 93-100
Dec. 10, vs. Miami, 113-117
Jan. 15, at Clippers, 90-97

good post, too bad most of the people here think if you lose 2 games in a row the season is a wash and start talkin smack about how KG and how hes not good. But thats mostly cuz the people here are band wagon fans anyways and dont understand that theres 82 games in a season.

In the pre-Pierce Walker era, i recall that we swept LA (60 win season) in our two-game set twice. (perhaps PP was around for the 2nd sweep)

Am I missing something on the board?
Everybody is posting these "Don't Panic" threads, when nobody is panicking.
I hope this helps.

I don't think its the losses, it is how. We are losing by scoring in the low 80s and we have bad guard play. That bothers me.

If you really think nobody's been panicking ... you need to go back and do some reading.

Well, I hear a lot of complaining, and suggestions about what we could do better.
Panic to me is, "Oh my God, we're going to lose the division, we probably won't even make the 8th seed in the East, the sky is falling," etc.

I think when Ray Allen trade proposals flourish, others instruct fans to stop the championship talk, and fire Doc chants come back for the first time in 36 games ... I'm sorry, that's freaking panicking.
Oh yeah ...
All during the course of a FOUR game skid.

11 more wins to basically lock up the playoffs.

it's more of the danger if we meet the bobcats or the wiz in the playoffs based from how we played them.

Ha, look at Phoenix. LA, Minny and Miami are sooooo bad. The Wizards and Bobcats at least have some semblance of talent and ability.
The Wizards have the #3 record in the East.

ya, but you dont lose twice in a row at an opposing teams house and the next night at your house.
this team is too good to be doing that.

yeah that second wizards loss was not a good sign, especially since it was a come from behind victory away for the wizards. you every celtic wanted to win a revenge came but they fell short.
